SHAI POV -

By the time I got back home, it was New Year's Eve. I went straight from the plane to baggage claim and got my bag, and then left. I went to Theo's place. The place we shared.

It was past mid-night , so I decided to eat something small and then hit the hay. I made myself a quick sandwich and turned my phone on while I ate.

I needed to call Tanner.

A few moments later, my phone kept going off. I glanced at the screen to see Theo had called at least 20 times and each time he called he would leave a few messages as well.

I read through each text; they were all pretty much saying how he was sorry and he didn't know what was going on.
To put things nicely, I actually had no clue what the fuck was going on.

I decided I would call Tanner when I woke up. I needed sleep more than anything.

I made my way upstairs and into bed, after changing into one of Theo's shirts. If he couldn't be here with me, then I was going to use his stuff because I missed him already. I hugged his pillow to my chest and after crying, again, I drifted off to sleep.

The first thing I did when I woke up was go on my phone. Theo had called a lot over night and I had to ignore the ache in my heart.

I called Tanner.

"Hey, Shai. Ha-ha that's rhymes. What's up?" He greeted.

"Tanner." I sounded desperate.

"What's wrong? What happened?" He says, sounding worried.

I started telling him what happened. I told him how Theo took me to england and how he wanted Mr to mrry his family, Anna telling me about his dad, the whole blow up; everything.

I started crying again, and used the sheets to wipe the tears away.

"I...I just don't...think he....loves me anymore," I cried. The tears streaming g down my face were salty and I could tell my face was blotchy.

"I..." Tanner sighed. "I don't know what to say, Shai. I mean, I could tell by the say he acted around you and looked at you the other day that he totally loves you, but...but the way he flipped...I don't know. I think it was a flight or fivhg reflex. Yeah, that's it, a flight or fight reflex. That's what it was," he says, sounding like he was convincing himself more than me.

"Shai, you and I both know for a fact that Theo loves you. Its just....he just found out his dad left him. Remember how you were? You were fourteen, Shai. Remember how you shut everybody out and then started making out with nearly every guy in Simi Valley? Well, that's what Theo is doing, but instead of kissing everyone, he snaps and yells at them.its meaningless and you know it," he says like a father.
