The real party started just after the wedding, taking place in Casita where only the adults gathered and the children went off to bed, this included Antonio. It was literally midnight and Mirabel gathered me, Camilo, and her sisters into her room-- giving the bride her space for the night.
"Alright, sleepover!" She cheers and it seemed like she might've had a little too much to drink. We were all changed out of our fancy wear and were now in our pajamas. I looked at Mirabel who sat on her bed,
"Mirabel, did you drink--"
"Shh, not so loud, Y/n! Mama doesn't know... Okay, fine I thought it was juice, alright." She placed her finger to her lips to silence me and Luisa sighs in disappointment,
"She was talking to some dude and she thought she was being cool so she drank the closest beverage to her, turned out it had alcohol in it." Her older sister summed up for everyone in the room. Camilo laughs at the door and crosses his arms over his chest,
"Even I wouldn't do that." He says and everyone turns their attention to him in disbelief. "What? I wouldn't." He reasoned with a clueless shrug. Isabela frowned at Mirabel just as her sister gagged. She quickly ran to her sister's side,
"Oh, no! She's gonna throw up!" She gasps in disgust. Luisa picks Mirabel up in a cradle position and turns to the exit. Casita swings open the door, startling Camilo before Luisa walks out to find the restroom.
"Isabela, come, I might need your assistance." Luisa calls from the hall and Isabela pretends to gag, putting her hand to her chest in a sickening manner.
"What?! No! I don't need to see Mirabel's vomit--"
"Hurry!" Her older sister demanded and Isabela groans, stamping her foot and dragging her feet out of the room. Camilo and I poked our heads out of Mirabel's doorway and I watched with worry settling on my face.
"Should we follow?" I asked, peering over to see that the three sisters disappeared from my sight.
Camilo shrugged, "Nah, I'm sure we'll just get in the way." He admits and I nodded, mentally reassuring myself that Mirabel was fine. He looks over his shoulder at me and smiles, fixing his position to face me.
"Now that we're finally alone--"
"Camilo, seriously?" I sighed with a roll of my eyes. He laughs and shrugs his shoulders,
"Dead serious." He says as a reflex of his. The curly haired boy cooly leans on the door of Mirabel's room and Casita decides to flap it against his back just to bother him. I laughed when Camilo stumbled forward to me and glares up at the house.
"By the way, you gonna pull an all nighter, or are you too much of a wimp?" I threatened and Camilo averted his eyes to me, his eyes narrowed at my sight.
"Oh-ho! Is that a challenge?" He scoffed, recovering from Casita's playful shove. I bobbed my head and he grinned, crossing his arms over his chest with pleasure. We both stood just inches from one another at the doorway.
"What would my award be if I survived through the night?" He asked cockily and I threw him an odd expression.
"Pfft, who said you will?" I tilted my head in a provoking manner. Camilo laughs at my comment and closes in the space between our faces, leaning down to my height.
"I like your attitude." He complimented flirtatiously, "But let's say I won," he reaches to tuck my hair behind my ear and at his touch, my eyes widened with an odd sensation running through my veins. "You date me. No excuses, complaints, or griping, hm?" He offered with a raise of his brow.
Flustered, I pulled away from how close his face was to me just for the back of my head to bump into the door frame. Camilo tilted his head, waiting for my answer. I stared at him with a troubled expression before my eyes fell to the floor,
"F-fine, but!" I stuttered and glanced up to see satisfaction settling on his face,
"But?" He questioned with a sharp grin and finally stepped back to give us space. I glared up at him, my cheeks tinted pink.
"If I win, you have to help with the upcoming fundraiser for the orphanage." I offered my deal and he chuckled mockingly,
"Okay--"
"This includes: no flirting, physical touches, or any teasing of some sort." I listed, counting with my fingers. At this, Camilo's nose twitched with regret and he hesitated.
"If you don't accept it, your deal's off--"
"Okay, I'll do it! It's only for a day." He reasoned and his face relaxed at his words, but I shook my head.
"It's for a whole week." I smirked and he gave me a look of disbelief. I knew that his deal was a lifetime's worth and mine was a week, but knowing Camilo for as long as I could remember, he gets tempted too easily. We hear the sisters coming back up and Camilo held his breath before releasing with a heavy sigh.
"Deal." He stuck out his hand between us and I latched my hand around his. "That's only if you win, which you won't." He winked and I rolled my eyes as we shook on it.
"Oh, please. Don't flatter yourself like that, you'll get hurt when I've won in the end." I pouted my mouth and his eyes averted to my lips with pleasure, he scoffed at my expression.
"Look who's talkin'."

Mirabel laid in her bed sound asleep, as for the rest of us, we tried to keep ourselves busy with card games, small talk, and jokes. Luisa, however, couldn't keep her eyelids open after the third round of charades. The four of us had spread out a large blanket on the floor of Mirabel's room and claimed a section of the floor. I slept near the wall, Isabela next to me, Luisa, then Camilo took the spot closest to the door.
"Two down, two to go." Isabela snickered, eyeing Camilo and I. "You kids are going down." She hissed loudly, not giving a care in the world about her sleeping sisters. I scoffed at her challenge, hugging my knees to my chest.
"I don't know about you, but I'm still wide awake." I lied. I was definitely tired! I've always slept early with the kids, so pulling an all-nighter was the most horrible decision for me. Camilo grinned, his eyes slightly drooped with exhaustion.
"I can see through you, Y/n. You yawned earlier, you must be tired." He grabs his own pillow next to him and chucks it at me, "Here, get some rest." He babied and I laughed, catching the pillow before it hit my face.
"I yawned because you guys are boring." I teased and Isabela gasped,
"Us?! The Madrigal's? Boring?" She exclaimed dramatically and Camilo only nods in agreement. "Oh, honey, you haven't seen what we've got up our sleeves." Isabela smirked, her voice tainted with sass. She whips her head over to Camilo where Luisa laid between them, snoring. "Show her what you've got, Camilo." She says and pushes him to stand. Confused, he stumbled to his feet,
"Wait, show her what exactly?" He whispered and I laughed at the fact that he ruined Isabela's flow. She leaned her head towards me,
"Put on an act." She hinted and Camilo nods, finally understanding what his cousin meant. I've seen many of his stories that he's told to the kids, but the one he decided to show was something I've never heard before. I mean, it seemed personal to the Madrigal's family. Camilo stands in front of us and Casita dims the light in the room, I smiled at the dramatic synchronization.
"Under the starlit sky, two lovers met, their eyes catching one another's." He says with a husky voice and he eyes me. I smiled, gawking up at him just as he altered his form into a young, handsome man. I hear Isabela gasp at the familiar figure, her fingers grazing her lips.
"Oh, I love this story." She breathed and then she touched my arm, "You better sit back for this one." She smiles softly and the two of us lay down on the floor. Camilo continues on with his story of how Casita came to be.
