Just before Camilo ends with his storytelling, I can hear Isabela breathing heavily next to me. I looked and saw her in a deep sleep. Camilo bows in his dramatic way and I wiped my eyes from being intrigued by his Abuela's past. It was a beautiful story.

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" I referred to the story that he chose to tell. I sniffled from tearing up a little. Camilo shrugged casually and walked over to me, extending out his hand between us. I sat up and reached for it, closing my fingers around his.

"She wanted an act, so I gave her a bedtime story." He whispers with a wink as he brings me up to my feet. Camilo reaches and brushes his thumb under my eyes, "Did you enjoy the story?" He asked softly and I nodded, still recovering from the heartbreaking ending of his Abuela losing her husband.

"Imagine being a single mother with triplets." I sighed, "How did she do it?" Camilo frowned a little at my reaction, our hands still cradling one another.

"Say, you feel like gossiping with the moon tonight?" He grins and nods over to the door where Casita had squeaked open. I looked up at his snobby face and shook my head, but found myself running behind Camilo through the trees in the dead of night.

The pearl tinted magnolias welcomed us as they did before, dancing in the moon light. Camilo grabs my hands and pulls me into the center of the trees.

"Dance with me!" He exclaims and I laughed as he twirled me around, my night gown flaring out and twisting around my legs. Camilo secured his hands on my waist as he did before and our eyes focused on one another.

"Friends don't do this, Y/n." He smirked and tightens his grip around me. I furrowed my brows,

"Do what?"

"They don't run off just to be alone together and they certainly don't look at each other the way you look at me." He snickered, "So, kiss me if I'm wrong, but you're madly in love with me, Y/n." He exposed and my face flushed and he only smiled at my reaction because it clearly answered him. I playfully glared up at him as he swayed us side to side to the sound of insects chirping.

"Those aren't fair options, Camilo." I pouted with a small shake of my head, and he shrugged without a care in the world because if I denied it he'd kiss me, if I admitted-- he'd still kiss me. I'm definitely stuck.

"Well, they're your only options, so pick your poison." He leaned in a little closer, ready to hear my answer. I stared up at him with daring eyes, stumped on what to say, so with my arms around his neck, I pulled him onto my mouth.

As fast as he was startled, he came back to reality, leaning into me with a smile on his lips. I tip-toed closer to his embrace, tighten my arms around him. At this moment, I believed that midnight was cursed to make the two of us feel this way. It was like the world just stopped, the breeze wasn't present, the insects became silent-- it was like they all stopped to watch what was going on. His fingers traced the curve of my back just like he did before, but a little more passionate and he pulled away, the sensation still lingered heavily between us.

"So, what was it?" He asked in a soft whisper, referring to which option I decided to choose. I opened my eyes to see him smiling down at me. I let out a small laughter and shrugged my shoulders.

"You have to figure it out." I teased in the same tone as him and Camilo crinkled his nose at my response,

"Well, in that case..." He breathes and decides to lean in to me once again. I laughed and swerved his kiss.

"Camilo, no--" I said, turning away my flustered face and sliding my hands to his chest to keep the distance.

"Camilo, yes." He corrected, holding me still in his arms and eventually planted his lips onto mines because I gave in to his beautiful eyes. I couldn't help but lift my hand to cup his face to bring him closer and at this, he chuckled. The feeling of fear tainted the air-- fear of exploring a little more than just simple kisses. However, this went on until we couldn't feel our own lips. I finally gathered myself together and was able to pull away from Camilo. He stared down at me with loving eyes, his cheeks flushed a slight pink.

"You're in love with me." He says in a hushed voice, "Admit it." He begged softly and I stared up at him, smiling like a crazy person.

"And if I admit it?" I asked, biting the bottom of my numb lip and he just shrugged a shoulder in reply.

"More kisses, I suppose?" He grins and I laughed and laid my head on his chest, rocking us side to side. I hugged him close to my body and closed my eyes.

"I am in love with you, Camilo. All of you. From your curly bed head to your idiotic personality--"

"Ouch."

"I love the voice you use to tell stories-- the sound of my name when it rolls off your tongue." I snuggled my face closer to listen to his heartbeat pumping against his chest. I squeezed my tired eyes shut and took in his embrace.

"Go on." He urged when I fell silent for a second. I laughed and he rested his chin on the top of my head, rubbing the small of my back as he did so.

"I love the slight slouch of your posture, your friendly nature, and the way you handle the children of Un Corazón Orphanage. Without you those kids would be lost..." I sighed and opened my eyes to stare at the magnolia trees around us, "I would be lost." I muttered this quietly and then I hear him click his tongue to the roof of his mouth,

"Had I known you were good with your words, I would've kissed you a lot sooner." He teased and I giggled in response, closing the heaviness of my eyelids. He swayed us and it literally rocked me to sleep until he spoke to remind me that he was still present.

"You're not falling asleep are you?" He asked gently and I took a deep breath, realizing that I relaxed a little bit.

"Mm, nope." I lied and he just chuckled,

"Let's head back, hm? I wouldn't want to carry your heavy self back--"

"Camilo." I pouted, pulling away from his chest, clearly offended. He laughs and reaches to fix my hair from being plastered to the side of my face.

"I'm joking." He reassured and suddenly picked me up anyway, rubbing his nose to mine. I laughed as he gave us a slight spin and then I felt his lips once again for the third time tonight.
