I sat at the registration table with Mirabel next to me. It was nearly an hour in and people were still walking through the doors of the church.

"Here, ya go!" I said cheerfully and handed the guests their paper copy of the wedding's agenda.

"Oh, don't you look amazing today!" Mirabel winked at a child who walked by with a little wave. We both were seated behind a table and we've been there since 4 o'clock. Mirabel sighs a little out of boredom,

"Man, they just keep comin' don't they-- oh, here you go!" She flashes a kind smile to family of three and they nod in reply. I laughed,

"Did you wanna stretch your legs? I'll take over since it seems like it's slowing down." I said, referring to the now-empty doorway. Mirabel throws me an apologetic look,

"Yeah, I'll be back in 20." She reassured and I nodded just as she stood up to leave. I turned my attention to see another guest entering the door and I smiled up at the man,

"Hello! How are you?" I greeted, outstretching my arm over the table to hand the man his wedding program. He tilts his head to me in reply and that's when I recognized the familiar gesture. The man grinned and I eyed Camilo, pulling away my arm.

"Just how many papers have you taken from me in the past 30 minutes?" I asked and he laughed, revealing his beautiful toothy smile from his disguise.

"Just about 15-- almost 16." He says and hands me back the 15 pieces of paper that he had hidden behind him. I rolled my eyes, embarrassed that I hadn't caught on sooner. He comes and takes Mirabel's seat next to me, his loose curl above his brow bounced with joy.

"I can't believe you didn't even recognize me!" He says with a damaged tone. I looked at him, resisting to crack a smile on my lips.

"How am I supposed to know, Camilo? There are hundreds of people out there." I laughed and he beamed at my giggle. Camilo locked his eyes on me and leans forward, his fingers reaching to graze my jaw. My heart raced when he neared,

"I like your hair up by the way." He raised a brow as he said this and at his touch, chills ran down my body. Camilo held our gaze dangerously, the tips of his fingers resting under my chin.

He's too close...

I sat there frozen, lost in his beautiful eyes. He smirks, clicking his tongue to the roof of his mouth before he leans back into his seat, comfortably.

"By the way, you guys suck at greeting people in to a wedding party." He points out just as a family of four made their way in. Still flustered about his presence, I cleared my throat, averting my eyes elsewhere.

Focus!

"Oh? Show me how it's done then." I offered, crossing my legs under the table cooly, trying my best to gather myself together as Camilo winked at me-- making me weak all over again.

"With pleasure." He says and takes up four wedding programs from off the table and hops to his feet dramatically. He approaches the family with the most cheerful smile,

"Welcome!" He exclaims and fists bumps the little boy who stared up at him in amazement when Camilo suddenly took the form of the child.

"Woah!" The boy gasped and I shook my head because it was honestly unfair that he had his gift to spice things up. Once he was finished hyping up the family, he dusts off his hands and adjusts his pink bow tie with a snobby expression.

"And that," he says, taking the seat next to me, "is how it's done, milady." He grinned sideways and I sighed in defeat.

"Fine, I'll admit, that was pretty impressive." I shrugged a shoulder and he scoffed,

"Pfft, impressive? That was a grand entrance, darlin'. Know the difference." He leans into my personal space again with a dangerous smirk and my cheeks flushed but I laughed it off, pushing him by the shoulders away from my face.

"Oh, please. You flatter yourself way too much." I shook my head and he caught my wrist before I could pull it back.

"And you're quite flattering yourself, no?" He asked, his voice low as he held our gaze for the millionth time! I held my breath just looking into his eyes. It was the loose curl that got me, and his facial expressions didn't help with this emotion.

Why is he so charming?

He grinned and it ruined the moment, I pulled my hand back to my lap and looked away.

"So," he began and leans his elbows on his knees, "you gonna sit with me this time, at the reserved table?" He asked, clearly still hurt about the other day when I didn't sit next to him at the dinner table. I smiled and crossed my arms,

"Geez, I don't know. Mirabel really wanted to sit next to me--"

"Y/n." He groaned with annoyance, pitching the bridge of his nose. "How about this, she can take one side and I'll sit on the other, hm?" He begged and I giggled at his desperate facial expression.

"I'm joking, Camilo." I sighed and he suddenly straightened his back, perking up at my vague answer.

"Wait, so you will?" He asked and I nodded in defeat. The Madrigal boy relaxed and nods, "Cool." He says it like was no problem. I cracked a smile and just then Pepa came from around the corner,

"Are you guys ready?" She asked, her posture jittery. The other bridesmaids and groomsmen were behind her and Camilo and I stood.

"Yup." Camilo says and I agreed with a simple nod.

"Good." Pepa sighs, placing her hand to her chest in relief. "Now come, we've got 30 minutes until the ceremony starts." She says, motioning us over to the rest of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the flower boy.

Camilo smiles up at his mom and takes my hand casually and follows Pepa who led the group to our spot. Mirabel eyed me and then her eyes traveled to our hands. I shook my head to silently deny her. I tried to pull my hand free, but Camilo tightened his fingers around mine with his back to me.

It's no use...

"Okay, clear skies, clear skies..." Pepa breathed from being so anxious. "Get in formation." She whispers to everyone and Camilo finally releases his grip from me and steps to the side, away from me. He glanced at me and flashed me a nervous smile. I gave him a reassuring expression and it calmed him a little. Antonio adjusted his basket of flower pedals in his arm and takes a deep breath.

"Hey, does my bow look crooked?" Mirabel asked from behind me, referring to the small gift that I bought her. I turned my attention to Mirabel and shook my head,

"No, you look amazing though." I whispered and she snickered, lightly shoving me. Pepa was called over by Abuela and Dolores to discuss important matters. The bridesmaids and groomsmen relaxed from being out of Pepa's presence. They quietly talked amongst themselves for a couple more minutes, but Camilo, however, stayed silent. I glanced over at his still figure, seeing him staring down at his hands in deep concentration.

He looks really nervous...

I stepped away from the small circle of Mirabel's conversation that she stirred up and I poked my head in front of Camilo who jumped a little, startled.

"You okay?" I asked and he met my eyes and quickly nodded. He rubbed his palms together and took a deep breath,

"Y-yeah, I'm just... really happy for her." He says with a sad shrug. I observed him and realized he had been hiding the way he felt about this whole wedding thing, for his sister. My brows furrowed with worry.

He looks like he's gonna cry at any moment. I'm sure Camilo and Dolores are close to one another. He's probably worried that she might not make any time for him now that she's married.

I took his hands in mine and gave him a soothing smile, "Hey, it's gonna be okay. She won't forget about you." I said and he relaxed at my touch, "I mean, you're the Camilo Madrigal." I laughed and with that, I easily lifted the mood. A reassured smile pulled at his lips and he squeezed my hand.

"Thanks, Y/n."
