"That was so cool!" Marco jumped with excitement when we arrived at the orphanage. I glared over at the little boy,

"No, it wasn't, Marco. We nearly got into big trouble back there--

"Oh, let him be, Y/n. He's a big kid now, right?" Camilo questioned, siding with Marco. He held open the door for Marco and I and we entered just as the children of Un Corazón Orphanage spotted Camilo and they ran to him, tackling him to the floor.

"You're back!"

"Where were you yesterday?"

"Yeah! We missed you, Camilo!"

A giggle rolled off my tongue as I walked past him,

"Y-you're not gonna help me?" Camilo grunted up at me, wincing at the weight of the children who piled up on him. I laughed and watched with amusement then sighed with guilt,

"Okay, let's not crush Camilo." I batted my hand and shooed the kids off, "You guys didn't finish your chores, now get to it." I said gently and they frowned, hopping to their feet before glancing back at the Madrigal boy and scurrying off to quickly finish their chores in order to play with Camilo afterwards.

I outstretched my hand to Camilo as he sat up, rubbing the back of his head. He stared at my hand and grinned, taking it in his and I propped him to his feet.

"Thanks for earlier, I owe you one." I smiled and we slipped our hands out from one another. He shrugged cooly and followed me into the kitchen with his signature slouch.

"Oh, ya know... That was nothing." He sighs, trying to toughen up his attitude. I laughed and shook my head, placing the basket onto the counter.

"But you know what you can do?" He asked behind me and placed his elbows on the counter, his hands supporting the weight of his head. "Go out with me--"

"Camilo, we've talked about this." I groaned, taking out the groceries and walking around the kitchen to place them in their rightful spot.

"Yeah, but you wanna know something? You never gave a clear answer in the end." He pointed out with a hint of sass in his voice. I shook my head in disbelief, placing the bread in a secure cupboard.

"Oh-ho! So, you're gonna twist my words and claim that I didn't give you an answer?" I giggled sarcastically and he shrugged,

"Hm, technically, I didn't but okay." He mumbled and watched as I finished putting the vegetables and fruits away. I grabbed a kitchen chair and climbed onto it, "Woah, careful." Camilo gasped as I opened the upper cupboard to place the snacks inside.

"Fine, you want me to repeat myself?" I sighed, my back turned to him. The chair beneath me wobbled like it normally does. "I still have so much to work on before committing to a relationship, you know that. And I'm an orphan myself, Camilo, what good will I do you--"

I leaned forward to fix the snacks and suddenly one of the legs of the wooden chair broke. I felt gravity pull me down and I fell with a yelp. I felt someone's unfamiliar arms snug it's way around me, catching me in mid-air before putting me onto my feet. Camilo averts back to being himself as he held me safely in his arms, my eyes widened from fear.

A dangerous grin licked his lips as his eyes traveled down my face, "So... I take that as a yes?" He asked, his voice nearly melting my ear drums. Blinking back to reality, I playfully glared up at him due to the information he pulled out from my explanation.

"What? No. Right now's not the right time, Camilo." I sighed then I let out a small laugh, "But goodness, I swear I'm not that heavy." I said to myself and kicked the broken chair at our feet. He reached and pinched my cheek, grabbing my attention. I looked up at him as my pulse increased unhealthily.
