The next morning, I began on making the best breakfast that I had promised everyone. Mrs. Perez came from the front door.

"Oh, it smells wonderful!" She exclaimed with a handheld bag in her hand. Her and the staffs didn't sleep here, they had a home and a life of their own outside the orphanage. I smiled, greeting her just as a couple more staffs entered to begin their duties.

Mrs. Perez came to my side in the kitchen and she offered her help to set the five tables that were lined up in the dinning room. The other staff members went to wake up the children and in a couple of hours, all 50 of the kids sat in their seats gawking and drooling down at their delicious food. We gave thanks and soon everyone dug in.

"You always seem to pull off the best dishes." A staff had complimented as she ate her portion. Sitting down at a table, I flashed a smile at the middle aged woman.

"I try with whatever I got." I summed and she laughed.

"No wonder that Madrigal boy fell for you. You've got a natural gift." She smirked, I flushed and shrugged a single shoulder. When breakfast ended, the staff took up everyone's silverware and plates and went to wash them.

"Mail, mail!" Mrs. Perez announced in her loud voice for the staff to hear. The children went ahead and started on their chores, whether that was cleaning their mess in the dinning room or even making their beds.

"Oh! Looks like there's one for Y/n L/n!" She says and hands me the envelope. I was suddenly reminded about Dolores's wedding when I saw the bright colors of the invitation.

"Oo! What is it?" One of the staffs had asked from rinsing the dishes. I opened the invitation and the words: Bridesmaid popped out from the letter with its vivid, bold font. It read:

My eyes widened and my heart raced with excitement the fact that I get to step in Camilo's home. I went a couple of times before and the first time I went, Camilo had confessed to me a second time. At my reaction Mrs. Perez tilted her head with confusion,

"Is something the matter?" She asked and with a stunned expression, I handed her the invitation. She took the paper and read it, her jaw dropped.

"Oh, Y/n!" She squealed and grabbed my hands in hers. "A bridesmaid for the Madrigal's!" She announced and squeezed my hand. The other staffs around us gasped and cheered me on. Being as nosy as they were, they read the invitation.

"Oh, my! Their wedding is like a month away--"

"Technically, a little less than 3 weeks now."

"Wait, isn't it Wednesday today?"

Someone mentioned and my ears perked. I looked up, "S-seriously?" I gasped with a hand covering my mouth. They nodded aggressively and my stomach turned.

"It says to start rehearsal as soon as you receive this letter." They read and then Mrs. Perez grabbed my shoulders, startling me with her tight grip. I was handed back my invitation and she turned me to the stairs.

"We need to freshen you up!" She says and pushed me upstairs.

"M-Mrs. Perez! Please, this isn't my wedding. I'm only going to rehearse for two hours." I grunted, but she protested against me and eventually we made it to the nursery room. She had me rewash my face and even brush my teeth again! She combed my hair just as she did years ago, and she braided my hair for it to lay on my right shoulder.

Next thing I knew, she had me wearing an embroidered floral dress. It was white, but the colorful flowers ornamented across the dress, creating a beautiful swirl-like design.

"What a woman!" She whistled and adjusted my side bangs, tucking them behind my ear. I sighed realizing that this took her hours to do-- for a simple look. She gently grabbed my chin and lifted my head up to meet her eyes,

"I'm proud of you." She says with a soft smile. My eyes wavered and I couldn't help but smile back at her. She kissed my forehead, "Now you behave yourself, you hear me?" She eyed me playful and I laughed with a nod.

"Yes ma'am."

"I know that you and Camilo have something going on, but don't you dare step into his room. You hear me?" She says and I knew by her stern voice she was serious. I flushed,

"M-Mrs. Perez!" I gasped a little and she narrowed her eyes,

"Do you hear me?" She repeated in slow syllables and I stared at her to see that she really wasn't joking. I nodded,

"Yes ma'am."

When we headed down the stairs, the children gawked up at me. I usually didn't do my hair, I tend to leave it as is-- straight. I wore nothing more than just a plain white shirt and a grey skirt with no designs, just ruffles. But with a fancy dress like this, they never left their eyes off me.

"You look like a princess, Y/n!" The youngest, age 3, complimented with a heavy baby accent. She was in the arms of a staff. I laughed and kissed her rosy cheek.

Knock, knock!

"Oh! It's Camilo!"

"Camilo!!"

The children ran to the door and greeted the young boy in. Mrs. Perez winked at me and left to keep an eye on the younger kids.

"Camilo, look at Y/n! Look!" Marco announced, dragging the Madrigal boy deeper into the building. I quickly scanned my surroundings, searching for places to hide, but before I could move out of his view, Camilo stumbled out from the front entrance and he looked up. My face reddened as he neared, his face dropped in awe and his eyes took its time to process who stood in front of him.

"Isn't she beautiful?"

"She looks like a princess! Like the ones from the fairytales!"

"Yeah! A princess!"

My ears burned and I quickly avoided eye contact with him, fiddling with my thumb in front of me in a nervous manner.

"Marco! Is this your mess?" Mrs. Perez gasped from the dining room. Marco winced and let out a small, guilty laugh. The kids around us gasped dramatically,

"Oo, Marco!"

"I told you she'd find out."

"Wait, what happened?"

With that, the curious kids dashed off to see what mess Marco had made, leaving Camilo and I by ourselves. He stood in front of me with wide eyes and his brows high on his forehead. I finally looked up at him,

"A-aren't you gonna say something?" I asked sheepishly and he kept silent. He held our gaze and then decided he should snap out of it. He breathes out a wimpy laugh,

"Yeah," Camilo says and scratched his head, "Wanna go out with me?"
