Camilo's POV:

Y/n disappeared in Mirabel's room, he watched as the door closed behind them.

"Camilo, psst! Pay attention will ya? You're gonna drop the table." Félix, his father, had sighed with irritation. Camilo's head perked, his curls bounced as he did so and he nodded.

"Uh, right!" He snapped out of it and took the form of a random man who had bigger muscles-- someone appropriate for the labor. After setting the foldable table aside with the others, Félix dusts off his hands and looks up at his son.

"You okay?" The man asked as he watched the boy plop back to his original body. Camilo nods,

"Yeah, kinda nervous not gonna lie." He admits and his dad heaves a joyful laughter, smacking his son on the arm. Camilo winced and rubbed the pain that shot through him,

"You make it sound like you're the one getting married, not Dolores!" He laughed and then it quickly dawned on him that soon that day would eventually come. Félix stopped laughing and awkwardly cleared his throat,

"You're not planning to, are you? You're only, what? 18?" Félix raised an eye brow and Camilo flushed with a shake of his head.

"No, papa. I just..." The boy thought about what to say so it didn't sound like he was sexualizing Y/n. An image of her in a fancy dress with glittery jewelry flashed through his mind. He rubbed his arm again, "I just have sweaty palms." He decided to say and glanced down at his hands.

Félix chuckled, "Ah, young love." He says and winked making Camilo flush.

"P-Papa, please." He lowered his head with embarrassment. It didn't help that his father was encouraging this feeling. The man laughed with his belly,

"Ya know, when I met your mother..."

Here we go again... Camilo thought as his father tossed an arm around his son's shoulders, dragging him back to where they came from.

It was the time of rehearsal. Everyone gathered together outside, heading to the same old church where Pepa and Félix did their wedding at, years ago.

Camilo picked up a flower from off the ground as the family made their way down to the heart of the town. He stared at the five petaled flower, its white tinted color matched Y/n's dress.

He looks up and spots her up ahead, talking to Dolores, probably catching up with life and whatever girls talk about. He felt someone tug at his arm and looked down to see Antonio, his little brother, grinning up at him.

"Camilo, watch this." The innocence of the little boy's eyes disappeared when all of a sudden a small bird flew above them. The feathered animal carefully dipped down in front of Camilo and gently plucked the flower out of his hand.

"What are you--"

"Shh, just watch." Antonio hissed impatiently and nods to the bird. The creature replied with a squeak and flapped its wings to catch up with Y/n's pace. Camilo smiled just as the bird casually tucked the flower onto the girl's ear. He laughed when he saw her shoulders jump, startled.

"Yeah!" Camilo pumped his fist and then gave his brother a high-5. Y/n reached and felt the flower, she turned her head and Camilo purposely caught her eyes. He flashed her a smile, because that's all that he could think of doing at the moment. She was quite beautiful, it stunned him.

Y/n laughed and shook her head before Isabela grabbed her attention again and they began discussing something, passionately.

"What'd I tell ya?" Antonio smirked and crossed his arms. "I think my true gift is secretly being a cupid." He admits and Camilo laughed, picking up his brother and placing him on his shoulders.
