The next day came and as always, I stood in the kitchen finishing up a full breakfast. A knocking sounded at the door and I quickly wiped my hands on my apron.

"Mail?" I mumbled to myself with confusion and opened the door to see Camilo smiling and panting in front of me. He held something behind his back, hiding it from my view.

He ran all the way down here this early?

"Oh! Camilo--"

"Here." He said and shoved a bouquet of flowers into my face. My eyes widened and I realized his hands were all dirty from picking these. I took up the flowers and stared at them to see that he collected only white flowers.

"T-thank you." I stuttered and he breathed out a small, flattered laugh. "But what are you doing here so early?" I asked and he wiped his hands on his clothes.

"Well, something came up and my dad said he'll need my help today." He explained between heavy breaths, "I'll be a little later than usual to stop by." He informed and I smiled at the fact that he went through all this trouble to tell me that he would be late today. I laughed at the thought,

"Well, you be careful with the labor, Camilo. We wouldn't want you to get hurt." I said and he grinned,

"Aw, you concerned I'll hurt myself? If I end up with a broken arm, would you finally accept my confession." He asked, and I rolled my eyes at his nerve.

"You better not break any bones! Just go, they must be waiting for you." I shooed, referring to his father and the other workers. Camilo laughed at my reaction,

"Wait, I'll leave if I get another hug." He says and opens his arms for me. That's when I realized that the reason he was so upbeat today was because of that hug last night. I threw him a look of disbelief,

"You're making me regret I even hugged you, Camilo." I glared at him and he smirked,

"Aw, come on, bring it in--" he neared and I laughed, pushing him away from me.

"Just go!" I giggled and he frowned, shape-shifting into me and throwing me ugly looks. I laughed harder just before he dissolved back to his original features. He steps back and waves,

"See ya later then, I'll make sure of it!" Camilo smiled and I nodded just as he turned and skipped off. I closed the door and smelt the bouquet of flowers in my arms. They smelt like the spring air, fresh and light. I went to fetch a vase and quickly filled it with water before I placed the flowers inside. Fluffing them up, Papa enters the kitchen and gasps.

"Flowers? How beautiful!" He exclaimed and I laughed,

"Camilo brought them for me-- US!" I explained a little too loudly and Papa eyed me then he laughed.

"Wow, how kind of him to bring us flowers this early." He plays along and I flushed in embarrassment, going to the sink to wash my hands. I hear him sniffing,

"Mm, these magnolias smell so sweet." He nods with approval and I dried my hands,

"Magnolias?" I repeated and he nods,

"Yeah, it symbolizes purity." He explained, "Hints its white color." He added and I looked back at the flower, a soft smile setting on my face. Papa chuckled and then observed me for a moment, his eyes soft.

"Say, Y/n." Papa began, "Can I have a moment of your time?" He questioned and all of a sudden I knew what he was wanting to discuss. I gulped and hesitantly nodded. We went into his office just down the hall and I shut the door behind me,

"Papa, is this about... the age limit?" I asked gently and he waddled over to his desk to take a seat. He nods as I sat in the chair in front of him.

"Unfortunately, it is." He says gently and adjusted the writing utensils that laid on his desk. The silence crept up between the two of us, eerily just before he cleared his throat.
