"Man! That was fun!" Mirabel squealed then she suddenly poked me with her elbow, "And someone had a little too much fun, don't cha think?" She winked just as Isabela came to her side and laughed, covering her mouth with the back of her hand.

We had just ended rehearsals at the church shortly after and headed back to Casita. The sun sat in the sky just right as we all made our way down the village.

"Oh, young love." Isabela said dreamily, pushing her thick, healthy hair off her shoulders. I blushed and shook my head,

"N-no, we were just walking." I argued weakly and the two sisters eyed me playfully before we all ended up laughing. I saw Dolores up ahead, walking with her soon to be husband whom she happened to bump into. I'm glad to have congratulated her before I got carried away with these two girls. Minutes later, we ended up in Isabela's room, all the kids-- and Bruno.

We all sat in a circle on the flowery ground, discussing about the upcoming wedding while we waited for dinner.

"Dolores you should show Y/n your wedding dress!" Mirabel mentioned as she clung onto my right arm. Dolores smiled,

"I'd love to." She said simply, her voice velvety and soft. I almost couldn't hear her.

"I helped create it." Isabela bragged, twirling her fingers in the air so that a flower bloomed in the middle of the circle. Now I wanted to see the dress! I'm sure with Dolores' doll-like figure and the white floral dress combined, it'll look stunning.

"Oh, please Isabela, we all know I worked harder than you!" The familiar sass of Camilo's voice interrupted everyone's thoughts. Everyone groaned at his comment, but I cracked a smile.

His nerve.

"You had nothing to do with the dress, though." Luisa pointed out innocently. She sat at my left and stared at Camilo who sat across from her on the other side. Camilo shrugged,

"But I did more than Isabel." He argued with such pride. Mirabel rolled her eyes,

"Anyway, Tio Bruno, did you get your suit in yet? Camilo and the other guys did." She leaned over to get a better look at her uncle who sat quietly. He jumped a little and looked up from being lost in his mind.

"Huh? Uh, I'm not so sure." He answered with a wimpy shrug. Then he recalled something, "A-actually, Pepa has it in her room. She says she didn't want the rats to chew it up." He mimicked and Antonio laughed beside to his uncle.

"You sound just like her!" The little boy's laughter twinkled in the air, "She always says that about Rupert." He says mentioning one of his animals. From there the two began carrying on their own conversion.

I smiled, enjoying the relationship everyone had with one another. Next thing I knew, everyone had their own subject to talk about. It was truly beautiful, it warmed my heart. No one left anyone out in a conversation, not even their guests. I felt Mirabel tap my arm,

"Say, you comin' on Friday?" She asked and I nodded without any hesitation.

"Of course! I had lots of fun today." I laughed and she nods,

"Right! I'm glad Dolores let you be her Bridesmaid. If you weren't, the rehearsals would've been hecka boring." She admits with a roll of her eyes. I smiled and it dawned on me,

What if I wasn't a Bridesmaid? Who would Camilo be with? Mirabel, perhaps?

"Oh! Seems like dinner's ready." Dolores mentioned with a peep of her voice. We all stood from the circle and headed out of Isabela's room and towards the stairs. I felt someone pull me back and I looked to see Camilo smiling down at me.

"What's the hurry?" He chuckled, making us fall behind. Halfway down the staircase he leaned down, his lips to my ear.

"I'll save you a seat next to me." He says and squeezes my hand in his before making his way down the last few stair steps. "You comin'?" He asked with a nod, gesturing over to the kitchen where everyone had already entered. My heart stopped and I nodded, following behind him.

Just like he promised, he saved me a seat at the table. Mirabel and Isabela saved me one as well. When I came to the table Mirabel waved at me to come sit in between her and her sister. However, Camilo smiled up at me and patted the empty seat next to him. Holding the plate in my hands I glanced at the two options with panic.

"Uh--"

"You gonna sit, Y/n?" Bruno had asked cluelessly behind me and took his seat. I watched him and suddenly I made my decision to sit next to Bruno.

I'm just gonna...

The poor dude glanced at me with a weird expression and then quickly shrugged it off. I heard Camilo gasp a little in disbelief and I could feel Mirabel stare at me with confusion.

Man...

Dinner started and Abuela congratulated Dolores with a short toast before we all began digging in.

"So," I began, awkwardly since I didn't quite know Bruno. He looked up from his food and his mouth was full. I cracked a smile at his chipmunk cheeks,

"Oh, sorry." He mumbled and quickly chewed and swallowed, "Did you say somethin'?" He asked and I shook my head,

"Actually, uh... no." I admitted and allowed him to continue to eat. Luisa sat on my other side and she points to the meal on my plate.

"Doesn't my Ma make the best dishes?" She asked and I looked up her and nodded,

"Yes! It's delicious, Luisa." I said and she smiles,

"She was born to cook. Ya know, when she was a baby she couldn't sleep without a wooden spoon." She whispered this information and I laughed,

"Is that true?" I asked and Luisa nods and stuffed a spoon full of food into her mouth.

"Yup."

I smiled and began eating just as Luisa sparked another conversation between us and at times Bruno would come in from eavesdropping. They both surprisingly kept a good topic up until dinner ended. Like, I've mentioned, the Madrigal's were professionals at not leaving anyone out from a conversation.

I stood from my seat to put my plate away. Casita's tiles rumbled to greet me once I entered the kitchen.

"Hello." I giggled and its kitchen drawers squeaked open and closed as a reply. Then Casita purposely dropped a spoon onto the floor, grabbing my attention from its clattering. I turned to watch as Casita bounced the spoon over to the doorway behind me. My eyes caught someone standing there. I smiled at the pout on Camilo's face.

Very smooth Casita.
