I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment
War had broken out in the USA and all the western states were trying their best to round up as many people able to save them from war grounds
Come little children
The time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows
Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon were all popular places where people had run away too, it was better than being in the war zone that was now the south, the east coast, and the Midwest.
Follow sweet children
I'll show thee the way
Through all the pain
And the sorrows
currently, New Mexico and California were trying to save a group of children from the fighting between Texas and Oklahoma which had been so drastic that bombs were thrown like bullets in the war.
Weep not poor children
For life is this way
Murdering beauty and passions
There were 6 kids total all but 2 where from Texas and thankfully Cali knew how to calm terrified runaways better than most after all he was one.
Hush now dear children
It must be this way
Too weary of life
And deceptions
Promising to provide shelter in the West for the kids, they followed still nervous about getting caught sneaking to the west but alas they got put of the dark war zones.
Rest now my children
For soon we'll away
Into the calm and the quiet
3 went with New Mexico and the other 3 went with Cali to Washington, Washington having the least amount of runaways meaning they had room, unlike California and Colorado who were both full.

Despite being brought to the west away from the southern war the children still wanted to go back, reasonably so their whole families were there as their lives were.
Come little children
The time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows
"Perhaps some things are best left behind in war children but I swear you'll find a new life here in the west where we aren't fighting, though you all have grown up war kids you don't have to live that way."
