Bell ring

Students started packing their things away.

Y/n knew the boys were going to come over to them so she quickly packed hoping she can leave before they arrive.

"Hey guys."

Too late.

Y/n mentally groaned before turning to face them. "Hi boys." She smiles. Ryujin was trying so hard not to smile so big right now.

The two are acting awkward with each other and she is just loving the moment. Hyunjin notices it too but just stands quietly on the side.

"Are you guys ready for lunch?" Jisung asks.

"Yeah." Ryujin says.

"I won't be joining you guys today. I will be in..the library...studying." Y/n slowly answers. That was the best excuse she could come up with and just hoping they don't question her.

"Do you want me to join-."

"No it's okay." Y/n quickly waved her hand, cutting off Jisung. Her face started heating up, "I-I'll see you guys later." She quickly left, leaving the three.

"That was weird." Jisung mutters. Ryujin stifled a laugh before pulling Hyunjin to her side as they were walking ahead to the canteen. Jisung just walked behind them.

He then stopped in his tracks. "Hey guys. I totally forgot but I was supposed to catch up on some work in a teacher's class. I'll catch up with you guys later." Jisung quickly turns around, walking away.

"Okay, you can totally tell that he was lying right?" Hyunjin pointed out.

"Just let him be." Ryujin shrugs. She wraps her arms around his. "Hey why don't we go off campus for lunch? I don't think I'm feeling school lunch today."

Hyunjin nods, "Sure."

She smiles, "Great."

Library

Y/n sighs, walking through the different aisles trying to find a book to read. Other than lying about studying in the library, she really didn't have any upcoming tests to study for.

"Do I really want to read right now? Why didn't I just eat lunch with them?" Y/n sighs.

After 5 minutes of searching, she finds a book she's interested in. "Wish Upon a Star." She read.

"I guess this will do." She shrugs. She makes her way to the reading area where tables and chairs are spread out.

Y/n notices a familiar figure and makes her way towards the person. Although it's kinda ironic how she's trying to avoid them.

"Jisung? I thought you were gonna get lunch with the others?" She asks. Jisung sees the fictional book in her hand. "And I thought you came here to study?"

"I um— what are you doing here?" She asks, as if she was the one who caught him here in a lie.

"This is just going to go back and forth." Jisung shook his head. Y/n sighs, finally giving in as she sits across from the boy. She sets the book on the table, completely forgetting she was avoiding him in the first place.

Jisung caught the title of the book. His eyebrows perked up at surprise. 'Maybe it was meant to be.' He thought.

He finally realized that the shooting star gave him a second chance not to change the future but to fix the past.

'I had it wrong this entire time. I wasn't meant to change our future but to fix the past. The shooting star gave me a second chance to make things right with Y/n. To be with her the right way' He thought.

"Jisung?" Y/n calls for the boy who was just staring at the book.

"Do you want to hangout after school? Just the two of us." He exclaimed, looking at her now.

Y/n was stunned to speak. This was unexpected to hear. "W-what?" She stutters. She got that nervous feeling again.

"I- I- um I actually have a lot of studying to do." She tried to come up with an excuse. She thinks she should talk to Hyunjin before starting anything with Jisung.

No matter how much she wants to tell him right here, right now how much she likes him, she holds it all in.

But Jisung didn't want to take no for an answer, not when he just found out how much she really means to him. He's not going to screw up his second chance, he thought.

"Then I'll study with you." Jisung smiles.

"I'm actually going home-."

"I'll join you." He insisted.

Y/n pursed her lips, "Jisung I don't think-."

...

"The walk from school to your house isn't that bad." Jisung says as the two make their way to the front door of Y/n's house.

She just nods grabbing the keys from her backpack, as she was unlocking the door she mentally cursed at herself for giving in to Jisung coming over.

"Uh welcome I guess." She steps aside so Jisung could enter first.

Jisung walked down to the living room and the memory of him coming here for the first time came into his mind. He winces at the embarrassing memory. Not only did he cry in front of her but he almost exposed the fact that a shooting star brought him back.

"You can set up at the table as I get us some snacks and drinks." Y/n points at the table placed in front of the couch. Jisung nods, doing as she says.

"Lets not mess this up Jisung." The boy told himself. He took a breath in and out, nodding his head. "Okay."

Y/n then came back. "Hey I only have water and chips, if that's okay?" She sat down next to Jisung but leaving enough space between them.

"Yeah that's fine." He smiles. Y/n felt heat starting to rush in her cheeks. She clears her throat, opening her textbook attempting to hide her red face.

After only 15 minutes of studying, the two started to feel bored. Jisung was leaning back onto the couch, he stretched his arms then realized Y/n had fallen asleep on her textbook.

He stifled a chuckled, "Cute." He mutters.

Jisung leans forward onto the table, resting his head on his arms as he looks at Y/n. "I wish I was like this with you the first time." A small tear escaped his eyes before closing them.

He regrets everything he said to Y/n before the star changed his life and wishes he could have done everything different.

'I wish...'
