"Bro what was that earlier? Are you not feeling well?" Hyunjin asks as Jisung took his seat next to the boy.
"Yeah sorry about that but I promise you I'm fine now." Jisung reassured his friend. He then looks around the classroom and remembered what class this was.
If he turns his head towards the back of the class, he would find a distanced Kang Y/n just staring out the window. And he was right.
He didn't realize how much details he remembered about Y/n but he knew he shouldn't be thinking about it at all. The universe gave him another chance for a reason, he thought, and he wasn't going to make the same "mistake" again.
He shook his head as he put his attention back to the front where the teacher walked in with papers.
"Okay class I know we are sad that its already the second semester of senior year but I have great news..." The teacher started.
Jisung's eyes then lit up when he remembers exactly what day it was and whats going to be happening next week.
"Next week we will be going on our class trip." The teacher exclaimed with Jisung mouthing the exact words. The whole class cheered as the teacher passed around the permission slips.

Lunch
Kang Y/n
The girl sighs, stabbing her lunch with her fork as she looks at her permission slip.
She slams it down on the table before aggressively taking a bite of her lunch. "Hey babe whats wrong?" Ryujin asks as she takes her seat next to Y/n.
Y/n looks at the girl, "Where the hell have you been? You didn't show up this morning so I had to get all the club signatures on my own."
"You do know that as class president you are responsible for your duties right?" She added.
Ryujin chuckles as she wraps her arm around Y/n's shoulders, "And I'm just so lucky to have a best friend who will help me no matter what and still loves me."
Y/n playfully nudged Ryujin, "Seriously where were you?" She asks.
Ryujin sighs. "I had another stupid fight with my sister and during Hyunjin's huge rager last night I left with Jisung. I guess I overslept at his house."
"You're still hooking up with that weirdo?" Y/n gave her friend a judgy look. "Come on, he may have a weird personality but he's not a weirdo." Ryujin said.
Y/n nods her head, "Yeah he is. He hugged me this morning." She held a disgust look on her face. Ryujin shrugs, "He likes physical touch."
"Yeah but he hugged...me. The boy barely speaks 5 words to me each day and all of a sudden I'm part of his little circle?"
Ryujin chuckles, "Come on just admit it already."
"Admit what?" Y/n looks at her friend.
"That you have a thing for him. Say the word and he can be all yours." Ryujin smiles.
"What? Me? Having a crush on that weirdo?" She snickers. "Yeah right. And besides, people already think that you guys are dating."
"Hooking up is not dating." Ryujin shook her head. Then her eyes landed on the piece of paper, remembering how upset Y/n was earlier over that.
"Is that the permission slip for next week's trip?" Ryujin frowns. Y/n sighs as she nods.
"It looks like I'm not going." She shrugs.
"But it's our senior year." Ryujin frowns.
"Ryujin, read how much this trip is. I can't afford it." Y/n says.
"Y/n you're my best friend. You know I can't go on this trip without you. I can ask my mom, she can pay for the both of us." Ryujin reassured the girl.
Y/n sighs, "I'll think about it. It's just too much to ask." She stands with up the paper in her hand and her bag in the other. "I'll see you in class."
Ryujin sighs as she watches Y/n just walk away.

"Dude I can't believe we're going camping for our class trip." Hyunjin exclaims.
Jisung nods. "Sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun." He didn't sound as enthusiastic the first time this happened. He was so used to the boring sit-in meetings at the office, that "fun" doesn't even sound fun to him anymore. Even though his co-workers took him out to bars he was still focused on work.
Hyunjin's eyes then lit up. "Maybe this is my chance to finally ask out Y/n." Jisung stopped for a moment before looking at his friend. "Why would you want to get with someone so stubborn and irrational?"
Hyunjin furrowed his eyebrows, "And how would you know that? Wait, you guys didn't..."
"No! What, oh god no." Jisung quickly said. Hyunjin sighed in relief, " Good because I kinda had everything planned out for this trip."
"I thought you guys hate each other?" Jisung asks. "I remember that look she gave you yesterday." He carefully looks at his friend.
"Oh that?" Hyunjin snickers. "When you and Ryujin decided to ditch my party early, I finally had the courage to talk to Y/n. It was going well and next thing I know we agreed to put on a little act at school the next day. I didn't know she had such a fun side."
Oh but Jisung knew. He remembered the rare happy times he had that happened with Y/n and their daughter, Jiyeon.
"Oh wait, there she goes. I'm gonna go talk to her, see you in class." Hyunjin patted Jisung's back before leaving him alone again to chase after the girl.
Jisung sighs as he watches his friend leave. This is what is supposed to happen he thought. Maybe Hyunjin was the person for Y/n. He groans, shaking his head recalling how everything started and led him to the life he once had.
He didn't plan on marrying Y/n from the start and never once did he think he would end up with her. The moment Hyunjin mentioned Y/n he remembered how his best friend had a thing for her and how their friendship ended when Hyunjin found out that Y/n was pregnant with Jisung's child.
The pregnancy wasn't planned of course but it all happened after that one night. After a one drunken, emotional night.
He nods a sigh. 'Maybe things will be better for the both of us now.' He thought.
