I've been in my chambers all day working on my drawings and reading. Every so often Tauriel would come in and we would have conversations about anything.
I'm sitting at my desk finishing my last drawing of the night when I heard my doors open. I cover my drawings just as I hear footsteps coming in my chambers, "Are you ready to dine with us?" Tauriel had asked as she walked in front of my desk.
"Yes, I'm ready. I have to finish one last thing," I said as a smile appeared on my face.
I wonder what expression I'm going to get from both of them. I then remembered of who got me this beautiful gown. I smiled again, thanking about Feyrith, "You look absolutely breath-taking," tauriel says as I stand, hiding my papers from tauriel.
"I'll be there in a minute."
I watched Tauriel nod and walk out of my chambers. I sigh as I release any tension I have in my body. I could feel myself getting nervous as my heart began to pick up speed. I plucked up the courage to leave my chamber and head to the dinning hall.
I stand in front of the doors waiting for my hands to touch the door handles. I prompted my hand on the handle and pushed the doors open. I look up to see four sets of eyes on me. I can see Tauriel, Legolas, Feyrith, then Thranduil.
As I sat the servants came in with trays of food. As I watched them place the trays on the table, I could feel his eyes on me. I turned and looked at Feyrith as he mouthed something to me, "You look beautiful," he said as I smiled and lowered my head as I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach.
This feeling has never happened before. When he was around me I didn't have this feeling, but when he tried to kiss me today in the maze, nothing happened. I then wondered what it felt like if he did kiss me. That feeling. The affection of love toward another.
Oh, What am I even thinking. Thranduil would never approve of something like this. I knew he was fond of me and I was fond of him. But, would Thranduil let us be together?
The butterflies had gone away. I looked up, linking my eyes to his. Like if we were having a... a staring contest. Our gaze was broken as Thranduil spoke, "May we eat," he said, looking at Feyrith than me.
I looked at the food that was in front of me and not having the appetite to eat now. I just sat there playing with my food, "Amarathae, are you not hungry?" I looked at Thranduil as he finished that question.
"No, not really." I said politely to not offend him.
I looked at Feyrith as he was about to take a bite out of some lembas bread, "I'm just tired," I said looking at Thranduil, "may I take my leave?"
"Of course," he responded.
I stood and headed out the dining hall and walked toward my chamber, thinking Feyrith knew to follow me. I reached my chamber doors and opened them. I walked inside, closing the doors slightly. I walked toward the balcony, looking at the flowers in the garden.
My gaze looked up into the night sky as I could see stars that were shining like gems. White gems.
I waited for as long as I can for Feyrith to come. I turn around having my head downward, looking at the wood floor as I bump into something, or someone. I tripped, but I was caught by Feyrith as he didn't let me touch the ground, "Awe, caught you," he said, pulling me up.
He has his arms around my waist, "Thank you," I say looking in his eyes.
He didn't answer as he stared back at me in silence, "Now, where did we leave off?" He said as I turned my head back slightly, only giving him my side profile, "I remember."
