I slowly make my way down the mountain so as to not fall. I look up toward Fili and Kili, "Thank you, Fili and Kili," I said.
"Not a problem," Kili said, "be careful."
"I'll try," I said as I barely slipped on a rock.
I was halfway down the mountain when suddenly I tripped and fell. I landed on my back. I started to drift into the blackness that was consuming me. I didn't want to die like this. The last thing I hear is my name being called out.
-----Time-skip-----
I slowly opened my eyes as I saw Lord Elrond standing beside me, "You get injured a lot," he says.
"I know," I said, "I wish I didn't."
"You can stay," Lord Elrond said, "here in Rivendell."
"If I stay, can I see Feyrith," I said as I looked up at Lord Elrond.
"That can be arranged," he said
I smiled. The thought of seeing Feyrith again made me happy. It's been too long. I want to see him again. I miss his kisses, "Thank you, my lord," I said.
He nodded, "Take some rest," he said "you need it."
I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. I slept without any dreams or nightmares. I just completely let my mind go. Not thinking of the past and starting thinking about my future. That was either with Feyrith, or Thranduil. I haven't chosen which yet.
My brain told me one, but my heart chose another.
I couldn't choose.
Not yet.
I finally stopped thinking and rest until someone came through that door waking me up.
I woke up to the door being pushed. I looked over to see him. Feyrith. He came over to my side and kissed me, "Don't ever do that again," he said.
"Do what?" I asked.
"Falling down the mountain," he replies, "you scared me."
"I missed you."
"I missed you too, meleth nîn."
Feyrith places his lips to mine, as he lingers his head to mine, "Did Lord Elrond tell you that I'm staying," I said, "in Rivendell?"
"No, has he not," he said as I watched his face grow cold.
"You can stay with me," I said as he looked back into my eyes.
"I-I can't," he said "I have to be by King's side."
King Thranduil? Why is he still going for war, if he knows I have the gems? Does he not want the gems after all?
"He's still wanting to go to war?" I ask, "why?"
"I-I don't know," he said, "I have to go."
I looked at him as he stood and took a few steps, "Wait!" I said as I got up and walked over to him, placing my lips to his, "be safe."
"I will. I'll be back, meleth nîn," he said as I watched him leave.
I decided to get up and move around. This place was very new to me. I hadn't fully explored every inch that Rivendell had to offer. I walked to the doors about to open them as they were opened in front of me, before I had put my hand on the handle.
There was someone standing in front of me that I didn't recognize, "Amarathae!" she said, "I know a lot about you."
"I don't know anything about you," I responded.
