I opened my hand looking at the gems Amarathae had given me. I then looked back at her eyes, closed, as I thought about giving her the gems. It would be okay for her to wear them, considering its hers now, if she knew about my feelings I have toward her.
I stopped thinking and placed the gems around her neck. I heard footsteps as I looked to see Bard running to my aid, "Thranduil! I...I didn't know, I'm sorry," he said
"Come on, we don't have much time," I said as I picked her up carrying her in my arms, "she not going to make it if we just stand here."
"I'll have my hor---'"
"We won't make it."
I looked behind Bard to see Mithrandir, offering his horse, "Use mine," Gandalf said.
"You thank he'll mak---"
"He's faster."
I didn't think twice as Mithrandir whistles for his horse. His horse was here within minutes. I walked over to him as Mithrandir told him where to go. I got on top while trying not to drop Amarathae to the ground. I held her steady as I placed the rose I'd had planted for her, in her hand.
Then we set off to Rivendell.
-----Time Skip-----
I held Amarathae as we gained distance to Rivendell. I could see two guards at the gate, "Open the gate and get Elrond," I said as the guards rushed to open the gate.
We passed through the gate as Lord Elrond hurried down the steps, "She doesn't have much time."
"Take her to one of the chambers." Elrond said as I stepped down with Amarathae in my arms, "We must hurry."
I removed the sheets off the bed and set Amarathae down. Once I did so, I just stood there wishing she would wake. But nothing happened. She didn't move, she didn't make a sound.
I kneeled down to the floor placing my hand in hers, "Amarathae? If you can hear me, I just want you to know how I feel about you," I said as I felt a tight squeese to my hand, "Im meteth---."
I was interrupted as Elrond and his heelers came in. I moved out of there way to try to save her.
"What happened?"
"S...She fell out of the sky," I said with a confused Elrond looking to Amarathae then back at me.
"How?" He said, "that's imposs---."
"She's a Dragon," I said "A skin changer."
I looked back at Amarathae, "Can you save her?"
"She'll ma--," Elrond said as was cut off.
"My lord, She's going into shock," One of the heelers said, "we need your help."
"Elrond, before you go," I paused, "could you make her forget? Forget the pain, forget everything that has happened?"
"You know what that means?"
"Yes...yes I do," I said, "I don't want her to go through that pain, again."
"I'll see it to have it done," he said as he walked over to help.
I decided to walk out of the room and into the hallway, patiently waiting for Elrond to come out and tell me she will be fine.
It was nearly dawn as I saw the last heeler came out. I reached for the handle and opened the door. I looked over to see Elrond standing at the end of her bed, "It took a lot, but it's done," he said
"Is she---."
"She's going to be okay," Elrond said as he looked up at me, "She was a fighter."
"Thank you, Elrond," I said as a smile came across my face.
"It's been a while sense you smiled, like that," Elrond said, "you love her?"
I didn't say anything as Elrond knew my answer. I looked at her, thinking she won't remember me when she wakes, "Now that the war is done, well will she stay?" I asked Elrond as I looked at him.
"Here. In Rivendell."
I looked back at Amarathae as she's lieing there, recovering from the pain she had just gone through. Its even worse that she won't remember me when she wakes. It pains me not knowing if she'll ever remember me, at all, "You'll let me know how she's doing?" I asked.
"Will do," he said, "will you come by and see her?"
"I will, every so often," I replied, "I'll stay until she wakes."
"Very well," Elrond says as he leaves.
I watch Elrond walk out of the room and down the corridor. I take a small breath as I walk closer and at the end of the bed. I carefully put my hand on the column as I watched Amarathae twist and turn in her bed.
I didn't want to leave the chamber.. I wanted to be the first thing she saw when she wakes. I stayed for quite some time. I walk to the side and kneeled. I carefully grabbed her hand and held it in mine. Placing a soft kiss to her hand.
I've been in here as long I can't remember. It was the day after and everyone was in here waiting for her to wake up, but I stayed kneeled, beside her. I looked up at Lord Elrond and thanked him, for everything. Saving her. Without him I wouldn't have a future with her.
He gave me and nod, before returning to look at Amarathae. I looked at everyone that was here.
Gandalf, Arwen, Legolas, Tauriel, Bilbo, and the company. And most of all, Thorin.
I'm surprised they were all here, especially Thorin, considering she saved his life, "She's starting to wake," Gandalf says as I turned my head as she looked at me and slowly opened her eyes.
