I peered over the Rose as it was the only one out of place. It was planted in the middle of lavender with all types of flowers. I recognized some of the flowers. There was Niphredil, Alfirin, Athelas, and Elanor, that surrounded the lavender.
The Rose was the only one in Middle earth. I wonder how King Thranduil got his hands on the last one.
"What are you looking at?"
I jolted around, looking at the person who had just scared me, "The garden," I said comely as it was just Feyrith.
"Did you see--," Feyrith said as he started walking toward me.
"The Rose? Yes...yes I did."
"It was there a couple of days ago," he said "I wonder who put it there."
"It wasn't you?"
"Nope," he replied as he reached me and looked over and into the garden.
I sighed, thinking of who planted it there and of all places. My mind was racing with questions that I did not have answers to. As my mind raced I thought about who could have planted it.
Tauriel, no
Legolas, no
I couldn't have been... Thranduil.
Thranduil doesn't usually visit his garden, "Do you think it was---," I was cut off
"Thranduil?" Feyrith said as he turned and looked at me, "Why would he?"
I stopped thinking about it and looked far behind the garden towards the maze. I could see the tree in the middle of the maze. As I looked over at the tree, I swore I could've seen movement, "I think I'll have a walk," I said as I looked up at Feyrith.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
"I'll be fine," I said as I headed out of my chamber.
I walked past the garden and headed to the maze, once again. I found the entrance to the maze and started walking to the middle of the maze. I took the same path I took the other day. I could see the tree was still there untouched. I knew someone was here. I couldn't place my finger on who was here.
I placed my hand on the tree as I felt eyes on me. I turned around to see that Thranduil was here, "I knew you were here," I said.
"This is one of the spots I come to take my mind off things," he responded as he looked up to the tree.
"Where's the other one?" I asked as Thranduil looked at me.
"It's hidden," he said, "in the palace,"
"I bet I can find it," I said
"I'd like to see you try," he said, like it was a challenge.
"Challenge accepted," I said.
"Why are you here?" He asked "got a question to ask?"
"Yes, actually I do," I responded with a jolly tone, "would you regard Feyrith's and I's feeli-"
"I will not!" he responded harshly as he knew I was going to ask that question.
"Why n-," I said being cut off
"No!"
"Im-im... im mel- ve, cin didn't mel- cín hervess," I said as I watched his demeanor change.
"At least I had one," he said as I heard how annoyed he was.
"Well, that didn't work out too well," I said as I could feel the anger building up inside.
"I think you should leave," he said, "get out of my kingdom."
