Zane's POV

All yesterday's evening that event didn't give me any peace as I tried to think of why I was the only one that heard it. I should do some kind of experiment to see what could have happened.

I walked into the room and put my notebook turning on music as loud as I could. I left the room closing the doors but I was able to clearly hear music playing inside. I walked to the living room and the second I closed the doors I couldn't hear anything.

Are others rooms soundproof? I walked back picking the tablet wanting to try with another room the same trick and it worked, you can hear what's happening in the room while being in the hallway. It could help the killer to see where people were at the time of their kill or someone could hear someone getting killed.

Everything has pluses and minuses. I shouldn't tell about this at all, less people will know better chances that the killer won't use this. Doesn't it make patrolling easier as well, you don't have to check the rooms but just stay in the hallway and listen.

It won't be my job as I still have some work in data room. I walked into the kitchen and saw Kevin, Anthony and Mason sitting.

"Zane! It's the boys time I see." Mason shouted over excited. He did his best not to ruin anyone's mood but that didn't help him at all as the male was even more hurting.

"Are you going to talk about aliens again?" I asked even though I didn't want to hear about it, I still reminded his favourite activity. His face lit up hearing that.

"YES!" He shoot his hands in the air as happiness filled him. "Do you guys think they could be living among us? Did you ever thought that your neighbour could be not a human?" He starting asking with his sparkling eyes. Anthony rolled his eyes as Kevin looked at Mason with terror.

"No! There can't be!" Kevin screamed as he was scared to death. "They are going to kill all the humans! The war will brake and that's it for us." Kevin panicked even deeper.

"If they were that cruel why wait for so long. I think some of the people are even working with them. Giving them a chance to live like us, have normal family, job." Mason talked terrifying Kevin to the core.

"Anthony!" The boy screamed as he hugged the male strongly not wanting to let go.

"Yes, you should be scared. Lots of people think they love eating those who aren't scared of them, saying they would gain courage." Now he was only harrowing the boy with nonsense.

"Kevin, he's just scaring you. That's not true at all." Anthony assured the boy so he could stop trembling in fear.

"Mason, don't be mean to him. Look how you frightened the kid, now he won't be able to sleep for a week." I scold him but he just crossed his arms, pouting for being scolded.

"I didn't know he'll be this scared. Sorry Kevin." Mason apologised for the boy, Kevin turned to Mason with crystal chestnut brown eyes. Looking like frightened little kitten.

"So it's not true?" He asked softly.

"It's not." He reassured the male. I shook my head lightly as I saw both males smile like idiots.

"They won't attack us?" Kevin asked again, Mason walked closer to the boy.

"Who can attack us in this house, we're not able to get out so even if it did, we'll safe." Mason said trying to cheer the shorter male.

"We would be safe from aliens but not ourselves." Kevin respond frowning thinking of all that's happened and could take place. I made myself black coffee little stronger then yesterday.
