Nathan's POV
I was sitting on my bed it was still the middle of the night as I couldn't fall asleep. I had my head on my knees looking at nothing in particular as everything was black and I couldn't even see my own hands.
I wasn't afraid of it but everyday my life started to become that very darkness I avoid. It was suffocating as I got closer to the future I promised myself to avert.
"Nathan King." I said to myself once more but this full name didn't sound familiar. My memories haven't recognized it, I felt like if someone called me by my last name. I wouldn't consider that they are talking to me or maybe because no one in this house called me that way. Still at the end of the day I would tell myself.
"You are Nathan. There's nothing else you need to know." I layed down on the bed trying to fall into slumber. I closed my eyes with fear once morning comes I won't remember another memory.
Maybe I'll forget something very important in exchange of another useless childhood of mine.
.............
I felt sunlight hit my closed eyes waking me up from my nightmare free slumber, I slowly sat up looking around my room. "I should really get all these books back to the library." Noting about my room full of books, I got of my bed. At this point this room will turn into the second library if I keep them here. More than half of my bed was already filled with the paper giving me less space to sleep.
"I think I'll be busy taking these all back to were they belong." I glanced around my room one more time and sighed to myself before picking my clothes for today and leaving for the bathroom.
I put on dark grey plain t-shirt and topped it with red/black cotton flannel shirt, leather pants with one buckle on my left mid-thigh, skin color socks and milky white sneakers. I dried my hair with a towel, before leaving I hanged it on the door.
I picked five books with me as I was sure I read them and still remembered what their content was. I got out of my room, closing the door and once I turned to walk, I noticed Zane's door slightly open. I walked up to it, knocking to make sure I wasn't rude before walking inside. To my surprise Zane walked out of the bathroom, staring at me with questioning eyes.
"Morning Nathan. I didn't expect you would pay me a visit, what brought you here?" The male asked not a bit distressed how I walked inside.
"You don't lock your doors?" I asked him getting to the point right away.
"What are you talking about I lock them." He asnwered but his eyes went wide as Zane questioned himself of how I came inside. "I think I forgot to do so." He messed a little with his hair looking apologetic at me.
"Waiting for someone to wake you up in the middle of the night for a deadly kiss, I see." I smirked at him. "Because not only it wasn't locked but slightly ajar." I voiced out shaking my head in disbelief.
"Sorry. What's with the books?" He changed the subject.
"I'm getting them back to the library. There could be a day I won't be able to get out of my room because of these." I raised the five books up a little. "There's a lot more but I'm firstly getting the heaviest ones out." I explained to my friend.
"Strange to see this. I thought you will leave that room with all those books there forever." Zane teased laughing himself. I rolled my eyes and started walking to the second floor. The man was right behind me.
"What plans do you have?" I retort back to my follower.
"First, I'll lead you to the library. Then, drag you to the kitchen for breakfast. The rest will come on it's own." He shrugged off.
