Zane's POV
I glanced at the time, 8:39 am. Everyone were still sleeping, Mason's plan didn't work out as he fallen to slumber 30 minutes later. Giving me a chance to laugh seeing him fall of the chair he was sitting to play it cool. I'm surprised it didn't wake him up.
"Did you stay up all night?"
"I did." I answered to Anthony as he just woke up.
"You must be tired. Go on I'll watch them just in case." He told standing up, to get some streching as the floor was hard and it brought some aches to one's muscle.
"Good luck." I told the male and walked off. Even if I had sleepless night I wasn't tired at all so I just headed down the stairs to make myself coffee.
Few hours later Mason with Kevin ran inside but where unable to talk as it seemed they had ran a marathon. I didn't say anything waiting for the boys to catch their breath.
"Zane, I told you that all of us are going to stay in one room until that deadline. You can't just decide and leave whenever you want. Others will think it's unfair. My plan will be ruined." Mason complained.
"You shouldn't talk to me in that tone. Remember that you slept the whole night, so the plan didn't work from the start." I reported the fact which couldn't be denied.
"About that. I really failed but we should still continue this. Let's go back. Bear with us for a little longer, please." Mason kneeled on the cold white kitchen tiles, interwined his fingers.
"You look like some weakling you know that?" I explained my point of view and face the window, ignoring the male.
"Please." He begged again.
"Zane let at least others believe nothing is going to happen." Kevin reasoned.
"Yeah, let's do that. So when someone dies it would be more complicated?" I pointed out.
'Death is such a beautiful accurance, it makes me want to tear up from joy.'
Three of us looked at each other. I was the first one to move from my seet and start getting to the room were everyone was suppose to be. When I got there, from all the faces I could understand that someone died. I walked in further and saw Hailey lying on the floor. No one said a word as what happened. I kneeled next to the girl to see if I can determine what kind of poison was used.
"What happened." I asked out loud. Still looking at the dead girl. Her eyes were wide open and mouth agape. It seems she was paralysed. I took my notepad and opened newly put file.
'Hailey Kinsley
Height : 168 cm
Weight : 64 kg
Age : 29 years old
Blood type : B-
Time of death : 12:37 pm
No external wounds, poisoned with Batrachotoxin (BTX) which binds to and irreversibly opens the sodium chennels of nerve cells and prevents them from closing, resulting in paralysis and death. No antidote is known.'"Someones going to talk or not?" I questioned once again, looking up at people besides me. Everyone were turned away to avoid seeing Hailey lying on the ground.
I scanned around to see at least something that could give me a clue of what happened. There were white cups with drinks and food on the table. But who could have poisoned the girl was mystery for me to find.
"She drank from that cup." I peered to the direction of the voice. Nevaeh was poiting at the cup on the table.
"Did anyone else drink or eat anything?" I asked getting the positive answer.
"Are we all going to die?!" Stella panicked.
"When did she drank it?" Ignoring the annoying woman I asked once again.
