Nathan's POV
Without giving information of who I spoke about I walked away still holding the damned hand, stepping around the rumble absent-mindedly looking around.
"Anthony was a good man." I whispered to Zane while we looked for his body around the ruined house part.
"He was already walking corpse after Kevin passed. At least now he's going to have peace in his heart." The guy respond back and weakly smiled.
We had one hand, some bones and a ear. Others haven't moved a finger to help or they still haven't noticed that two were dead not one.
"Hey sheeps!" I shouted infuriated. "We have some body parts to find here, stop standing around and waisting time." Their eyes widen even bigger.
"Someone else is dead?" Nevaeh asked looking up.
"Anthony." Zane comfirmed and the kneeling girl gently lied her friend down on the ground and stood up.
She walked up closer and started scaning the place from side to side. Her hands were still shaking but she still picked up rumble to see underneath in case to find a piece of missing person.
"That's one of the reasons why she became my assistant. She got over herself, painful to loose someone, but there's nothing you can do just continue to live." I whispered to the person besides me.
Stella gulped her pride and walked around. Lydia followed Nevaeh and help out with the heavier parts of the walls.
Henry strode aimlessly trying to avoid finding anything as he was disgusted by the idea of dismembered body.
"I'm not sure we'll find all of it." Zane whispered to me making sure no one else will hear it.
"I only need to see his head." I declared my confusing intentions.
"Head? You think it'll tell something?" He questioned me and I nodded my head.
"I want to know if he was facing explotion or not. Do you want to go up and check which explosive was used?" I asked him giving him another mission.
"Sure. The stairs to the third floor are still somehow intact I'll check his room as well." He report back and walked off.
20 minutes later Stella screamed her head off as if being killed. I turned around to witness the girl pointing her finger in front of her. I didn't have clear vision at what it was and stepped closer. Under huge broken wall I saw what looked like Anthony's head. I let go of the hand, stalking to the piece I was looking for.
I got closer and through the gap reached for it. This whole place looked interested. Making me rethink that explosion happened in the kitchen. The man was inside it or close by you can't hide the fact.
But this wall that hid his head shouldn't be here. I held the head in both hands seeing one side of his face was burned more than the other.
Explosive inside the bathroom? Would make sense. The most important thing which peeked my curiousity was that Anthony's eyes were closed. Wasn't there fire? Or did someone set it after?
Anthony has burns from explosion it's understandable but it looks like fire didn't touch his body or the other way around.
Were he was burnt only because of the fire. Weak one? I was releaved once I saw Zane come up to me.
"You found the head. So did it tell you anything?" He asked me and squatted next to me. I pushed the head his way for him to see. "Why are his eyes closed?" Zane whispered straight away.
"I think he was already dead or at least dying." I annalized.
"I have to agree with you. There are few posions missing. I don't know much about it but the explosion had to happen in a room next to. There was written that if a person and a bomb are in one room you would have nothing left of him." He explained and I attentively listened.
