" Soon the folks that I knew came to see me no more
And they said that I'd fallen in deep with you
Now I hear them all walking right by my door
But I love you girl, what can I do?
Please be my friend
Just forget what I've done, let me make amends. "
'Please Be My Friend' - Matthew's Southern Comfort

Over the next few weeks Emily mulled over the prospect of telling James about the baby, especially after the revelation Jason had put upon her the other week of the fact that it looked as though James had moved on from her.
She wished she could do the same, but unfortunately there was a part of him growing inside of her that would always connect her to him. Shannon was about three days into his tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars and they had spoken every evening; albeit the calls weren't that long.
It was a Saturday morning and Emily wasn't due into work until 2pm where she would be working with Kali until 5pm. It looked as though it was going to be a blustery windy day, she could see the branches bending in the wind and the sea was looking choppy today.
Pulling on her dressing gown she made her way into her kitchen to make a bagel for breakfast and a mug of Ginger Tea. Her morning sickness had waned slightly, but she was still struggling with boughts, mainly first thing in the morning and late afternoon.
As she switched on her kettle to boil and checked her phone, she heard her internal phone ring from her bedroom. Cursing as a wave of nausea flooded over her, she made her way back to her bedroom and managed to pick up the phone just before it was about to ring off. It was the Receptionist.
"Miss Kapinski?"
"Oh Hi, yes?" Emily answered.
"You've had a delivery; would you like one of the porters to bring it up or would you like to come down and collect it?"
"I-I haven't ordered anything. Are you sure it's for me?"
"It has 'Emily Kapinski' on the card."
"Card? Erm...OK sure. Please could you get a porter to bring it up for me?"
"Not a problem at all."
"Thank you very much."
"Alright. Have a good day Mam."
The Receptionist hung up and so did Emily, just as another wave of nausea overcame her, so she rushed to the bathroom and managed to make it to the toilet before she threw up.
Returning moments later, dabbing at her mouth with a tissue, she made her way back to her kitchen area and poured the now boiled water into a cup for some Ginger Tea. As she did this, the buzzer to her penthouse went so she made her way over to it.
"Who is it?" She called out, pausing at the lock on the door.
"Delivery for Miss Kapinski."
"Oh, hang on. Thank you."
She opened the door and was greeted by a huge bouquet of red roses and someone half hidden behind them.
"Erm...for you madam." The porter told her, before holding out the beautifully wrapped roses to her.
"What on earth?" Emily exclaimed, taking them from him half embarrassed.
The Porter chuckled. "It looks as though someone thinks a lot of you."
"Yeah. I'm so sorry about this. God this is embarrassing."
"Don't worry. I've done far worse for people."
