" What a feeling in my soul -
Love burns brighter than sunshine,
Brighter than sunshine.
Let the rain fall, I don't care.
I'm yours, and suddenly you're mine.
Suddenly, you're mine;
And it's brighter than sunshine. "

There was a persistent annoying beeping that kept going off every couple of minutes. Emily groaned and rammed her pillow over her head to try to drain out the sound.

A faint chuckle piqueted her interest, and she peeked out slightly from beneath the pillow where she was met with a bright, sky-blue pair of eyes.

Jared was still lying in bed next to her. His chestnut locks fanned out around himself on the pillow. A smile started to grace his face.

"What the hell is that persistent beeping?" Emily mummbled.

"Oh, it's my Fitbit. It's probably beeping because I haven't done much for a while. Usually, I'm up at the crack of dawn for a hike and a yoga session." He told her, rolling onto his side to face her.

"Freak." Emily muttered.

Jared chuckled.

"What's stopping you now?"

"You. Here. Lying here with you."

"Jared. Don't. You know I'm with Shannon. I should get up." She pulled her pillow off her head and flung it onto the bed, making to get up.

"I'm sorry about the room mix up, Em. Honestly, I had nothing to do with it." He also pulled himself to sit up, resting his head against the headboard.

"It is what it is." She rolled over and stood up, catching an eyeful of Jared's toned physique as she did so. "Could you erm...put a shirt on?"

She dipped her gaze and made her way over to the minibar, pulling out a bottle of chilled orange juice.

"Can I make you a cup of coffee, Jay?"

Turning back around, she was pleased to see that Jared had now pulled on an oversized purple Gucci t-shirt and was scrolling through his phone. "Oh. Um...sorry Emily." He looked up at her away from the screen and saw her awkwardly shuffle on her feet, waiting for a reply from him.

He tried as hard as he could not to stare at her, but the way Shannon's shirt that she was wearing hung from her frame made her look so endearing that it became incredibly hard not to.

"Jared. My face is up here." She told him crossly, gesturing upwards, causing Jared to blush. He was usually so calm and collected that this amused her.

"I don't actually drink coffee first thing like Shan does, but I'll take a herbal tea if there is one."

"Sure. Sounds good." She busied herself for a while. "So what have you got planned for the day then?"

Padding her way across the room back to the bed, she handed Jay his mug of tea, which he took from her; their hands brushing lightly in the process.

Ducking out of the way, Emily crossed over to the window in the room and pulled the curtains apart. It looked as though it was going to be another lovely day. The sun was just rising; sunbeams casting their glow onto the bedsheets, enveloping everything in a light gold colour.

"Erm..." Jared swept a hand through his hair, ruffling it up a bit in the process.

"Just work stuff. I'm afraid. You know I just finished up filming that film 'The Outsider' down in Georgia?"
