"Jinyoung."
I looked up at Jaeseok, who was leaning against my doorframe. "What do you think about being a real kid again?"
I shrugged. Really, nothing about the past few years of my life had been anywhere near being normal. Anything that a normal kid my age would do was something I likely missed out on. The past four years? Trauma and legal battles. The past two? Blood on my hands.
I closed my journal. "What do you mean by that?"
"I mean that there's a youth summer camp," Jaeseok said with a shrug. "A pleace where you can get out and be social."
I gave him a look that hopefully spoke for itself. I had never cared for having many friends, and my current unofficially official criminal status made the act all too dangerous. Jaeseok was barely even my friend, my legal guardian and boss, if anything.
"Look," Jaeseok sighed. "You can keep your burner phone with you if you ever want me to pick you up, okay? I just want you to get out of the house more."
I glanced around his room. Jaeseok's apartment was in no way luxurious, but it was comfortable. As far as I had been concerned for the past three year, this was home. "Do I have to go?"
"I'm not making you do anything. It's just a suggestion." Jaeseok turned like he was about to leave, but he whipped his head back around to face me. "Yet again, what's the worst that could happen?"
I pondered it for a moment. What did I have to lose? "When do we leave?"
Jeonseok grinned, turning around. "Two hours."
