I woke up to an empty room.

This wasn't a surprise. My room had been like this for a week now, since when I had made the stupid mistake of coming out to my parents. They were everything but what I expected them to be. My belongings―everything I could fit in one bag, at least―were now packed into a duffel bag in the corner of my room, my bed stripped down to nothing but a mattress.

This had been the worst week of my life. A week of constant shouting, watching as many of my trinkets that I'd collected from trips over the years get destroyed. A week of wanting nothing but to leave―but I had nowhere to go.

Technically, my parents had kicked me out yesterday―but I had no idea where to go. I snuck back into the house through my open window before night fully hit, and now I was collecting myself together to head out to the SSCC, which was the last thing that my parents would every pay for me.

Seoul Summer Camp Class. Sure. I didn't have anywhere else to head to anyways.
