Y/n was holding Lapis's hand as he had his own eyes closed and Lapis was covering her eyes with her water wings. The two were being guided be Steven as they walked on the pier.
"I'm starting to guess the surprise, Steven." Lapis says.
"I told you both to close your eyes!"" Steven says.
"Hey mine are closed!" Y/n says.
Lapis laughs. "Sorry."
"Okay, wait here." Steven tells them.
"Can I at least open my eyes?" Y/n asks.
"And now!" Steven says.
Y/n opens his eyes and Lapis retracts her water wings as they see Steven and Greg standing in front of a yacht.
"Surprise!" Greg and Steven say.
"Hmm." Lapis hums mildly unimpressed.
Y/n however looks at it shocked. "You bought a boat!?"
"Uh, correction. We rented a boat. I may be rich, but buying a boat would be going a bit... overboard." Greg says.
"Ayyy." Steven says.
"Ayyyyy." Greg says back.
"Ayyyyyyy!" Steven and Greg say together.
Lapis looks at Y/n confused now.
"Just a bad sea joke." Y/n tells her.
"I picked it up from some sailors. They have a surprisingly clean sense of humor." Greg says now.
"Y/n, Steven, who is this?" Lapis asks as she indicates to Greg now.
"Uh, Greg Universe." Greg offers a handshake to Lapis. "We met at the barbecue Y/n had a while back." But Lapis just looks at him clueless. "You also broke my leg trying to use the ocean to fly back to your homeworld?" He tires to remind her.
"Lapis Lazuli. Nice to meet you." Lapis gives him her name. Greg holds out his hand expecting a handshake which never comes. He then breaks away from the awkward moment.
"Great! Well, I'll get the boat started." Greg says
"So what do you think?" Steven asks the two now.
"It's nice, Steven... but I don't know.
"Look, Lapis, I know you spent a really long time fused with Jasper at the bottom of the ocean, but you're not Malachite anymore. And water is a part of who you are. You can't let one bad experience take that away from you." Steven tells her.
"It was more than one." Lapis says her grip on Y/n's hand tightens a little.
"Just give it a chance. I promise we'll make this the most fun you've ever had." Steven tries to persuade her.
"Steven, I... don't deserve this." Lapis says unsure.
"Of course you do Lapis." Y/n says now. "You've been through a lot and deserve something nice for once. How about a compromise. If you don't like it you always use your water wings to leave? Please just at least give it a try?" Y/n asks her.
"We even named her Li'l Lappy." Steven says and he points to the boat now.
Greg is seen giving a thumbs-up to the name, until he realizes the taped cover-up paper had fallen off, revealing the yacht's real name "S.S. MISERY.", much to Lapis' amusement.
