Just want to say a quick Happy 2 years to this story since the first chapter!
Connie and Lion are seen on the porch of the Beach House. Lion is lounging around, and Connie is standing beside him, carrying a backpack, Rose's Sword, and wearing her father's jacket.
"Y/n, Steven, come on!" Connie calls out.
"Sorry. We just had to make sure I had everything." Steven calls out as he and Y/n exit the beach house now. Steven was carrying a white package with a pink bow.
"I think Lars will be happy with this package his parents put together for him." Y/n says as they reach Connie now and Steven places a teddy bear on top of it.
"And MC Bear Bear! To hug if he gets scared." Steven says as Y/n puts the package in Connie's backpack.
"I'm so excited we're finally going to have a space adventure together." Connie closes her backpack. "Steven, Y/n and Connie in space!"
"I'm not so sure this is gonna be an adventure Connie." Y/n tells her. "Last time we saw Lars, he was huddled up in a dark cave with some other Homeworld fugitives."
Connie looks down. "Oh. Yeah." She says as she puts back on her backpack. "Well, I'm ready for anything."
"Still, it's a new experience for you." Y/n tells her and Connie perks back up. "Now, what's the golden rule you two?"
"That you're responsible for us and to listen to what you say." Steven and Connie reply in unison.
"Well that too, but no other one." Y/n says.
"Oh, uh not to tell you're dad we went back to space?" Steven says.
"Bingo." Y/n says. "While he can't stop me, it doesn't mean he wouldn't secretly start to freak out. I don't want to make him worried."
Steven and Connie nod in understanding.
"Lion. You ready?" Steven then asks.
Lion stands up and rolls over, exposing his belly and making a purr-like noise causing Y/n, Steven and Connie to gaze at him in admiration of his cuteness.
"Eee!"
"Oh, my gah."
"Lion stop being so cute It's not going to get you that steak. We have a mission." Y/n says as he shields his eyes from Lion's cuteness.
Steven and Connie also compose themselves and look at each other seriously.
"Y/n's right we have to stay on task." Steven says.
"Mm." Connie hums as she nods her head.
Lion rolls up right now, and Steven, Y/n and Connie enter his mane. The three emerge from the pink savannah, holding their breaths. In the distance they spot 'Lars' tree' in the and all nod at each other.
Steven, Y/n and Connie holding hands, fall out of Lars' hair and land on the floor.
"Aah!" Steven and Connie cry.
"Ow..." Y/n groans.
Steven, Y/n and Connie turn over and notice Lars is sitting in a chair, wearing a uniform.
"Steven?" Lars asks surprised.
"Lars?" Steven says confused.
Steven, Y/n and Connie look to their side as they hear someone speaking on a live video feed in the ship a green Gem with a green, square, faceted gem where her right eye would be. "It's over! I've got you now, you miserable Off Colors!"
