Chapter 2

Katie's pov:
"How have you been Caspar?" I ask on the drive home. "It's been good! I'm a dad now." that took me by surprise. "Caspar I've been gone for 6 months how did that happen? God Casp your so stupid." I hear Joe chuckling in the backseat. "it's a doll." he says as if thats normal. I gave him a flat out confused look. "you are strange." I say as we pull into the driveway. I unload my suitcase but Joe grabs it as soon as he sees me. As he reached for my suitcase our fingers brushed. It felt like an electric current passed between us. It sent shivers down my spine. I think he felt it to because we made eye contact. We froze in each others gaze, it felt like time stopped and my heart skipped a beat and my stomach did backflips. How can a person I barely know have this effect on me. He smiled a warm smile which I returned. "ahem." we both turn to look at Caspar staring at us. We quickly straighten up and smile and make our way inside the flat. "This is really nice!" I compliment. "Thanks!" Caspar and Joe says at the same time. "So what do you guys do on a Friday night?" I ask "it depends sometimes we stay in and play video games or go to a bar." I nod along listening to Caspar. "I bet I can beat y'all on exo zombie infection." I shout at the top of my lungs. One of the benefits of being a "Lee " is that you can shout and everyone just expects it. "Not a chance!" Joe replies. "Trust me Joe she is the best at that game." Caspar warns. He knows I'm very competitive. "yeah, well I'm the king!" He winks at me. My cheeks turned rosy. Was that friendly wink or a flirty wink? Ugh I think too much. "well we will see about that!" I say grabbing the controller on the tv and tossing it to Joe.

"Ha! Bam! In your face!" I yell throwing the controller on the sofa and doing a silly victory dance. I look at Joe who was pretending to be mad with his arms crossed. "whatever." He says. I continue victory dancing when he stands up and lifts me up over his shoulders leaving my waist on his shoulder and my eyes on a rather flattering look meaning his butt if you know what I'm saying. "Joe!!! Put me down!!!!!" I scream. He's just laughing along with Caspar. I look over at Caspar who is filming us. "I'm stealing your sis Caspar!" He shouts whilst running down the stairs, the bumps causing me to be even more scared. "jooee!! Stop!" I yell now laughing in tears. " you can have her!" Caspar yelled back. We get to his room and he shuts the door. He sets me down while laughing. I look him dead in the eyes my laugh now fading. It's like there is this connection drawing us together. "do you want to get coffee tomorrow?" He asks. I can feel the flutters inside my stomach. I don't know why, it's just coffee. "yes I'd love to." Was all I could say. We should go up before Caspar worries" he says smiling. I just nod still smiling. We both run upstairs soon greeted by Caspar with pizza. "How did you get pizza delivered that fast?" I ask in complete shock. "I'm a well known customer... And a good tipper!" He smiles proudly. I shake my head at how stupid my brother can be at times. The rest of night consisted of movies and just catching up.
It's now 20 past midnight and were all sleepy. I fell asleep in Caspar's room.
