A New Beginning

It's been two weeks and I've been training my ass off trying to extent my time using my fury and my wings together. I get out of my bed and I'm at my house and I'm fixing my bed and I hear Janice coming in through the front door. "Hey Alex you home?" she asks, I said back, "I'm in my room!" I replied, I bumped my wings onto the wall I thought Oh crap she's gonna see my wings.

I put my wings back into my back and Janice entered the room moments later and said, "What the heck was that?!?" now I was lost in thought Oh no did she see my wings "What do you mean?" I said as calm as I can. "I think I just saw feathers?" she replied, I have to think of something and quick, "I was folding my blankets, you probably just had a quick glance of them and saw feathers,"

"Oh, yea I am still sleepy since I woke up a few minutes ago, sorry Alex," I was relieved that she believed me, "No, It's okay I'm still tired myself, the food is ready in the kitchen, were eating eggs and toast today." Janice's dad isn't much of a cook neither did he learn, so ever since I meet them he lets Janice come over to eat with us since my dad is quite the chef.

After breakfast I went into my training room finding Janice in there, luckily most of my equipment was at the safe house and all that was there were some weights, dumbells and brush I use for my wings. "What is this," she took a feather out of the brush, Damn I forgot to clean the brush yesterday "This is the same feather that I saw in your room, are you hiding some bird in here or something."

I thought to myself Oh she thinks I'm hiding a bird, okay I just need to think of something "Okay fine I wanted to Uh.. get you a bird for your birthday but it flew away," I said. Yea that fits pretty good, "Oh, so thats why you were hiding the whole feather thing, so the feathers I thought I saw in your room were probably from the bird," I was relieved she believed me.

After that I went to the grochery store to get some food, I had a list to get Milk, Tomato, Eggs and some onion. While I was heading home I bumbed into a tall man and we both dropped our things. He had pale skin and a black tuxedo with no eyes, I didn't want to be rude so I said, "I'm sorry I wasn't looking were I was going" I helped him getting his things off the floor and then he said.

"I'm sorry I don't know my way around this town, I just moved here." I offered my help to get him where he needed to go, he told me he was looking for a girl that was about my age. Janice never came to my thoughts that it could've been her. He never told me his name, though I never asked either, he looked very suspicious.

He thanked me for showing him around the town and we went opposite directions when I remembered about Janice, I turned around but the man vanished. Once I went home I sat down and used my powers to put away the food, then I heard Janice Gasp and was starring at me using my powers. I had no choice but to use a power I can only use for emergencies.

I held my hand out and I made a floating light appear in my hand which made a huge flash of light which deletes someones memory only moments before. She fell on the floor and I took her to her house and explained to her dad what happened and said she will be fine.

"She just won't remember seeing me use my powers," I told him, he understood that it still wasn't time for her to discover my powers or anything at all. I went home and finished putting away the food, I was sad that I had to erase my sisters memory to keep her safe.

Still one thing was still boggling in my thoughts, who was the stranger I saw today and who is he looking for?
