It was the next day and everyone was cleaning up the destroyed house that I was flung into last night, everyone but me. I was sitting on my bed just staying still wondering why did Janice choose to go with Daemontrias. We had a plan, why did she leave if she knew we had several plans on how to get her mom back.

I was going back and forth in my head on how why, but I just couldn't think straight just from the shock that a part of me feels like she left of her own will.

*Tyler's Perspective

Almost everyone had a broom, those who didn't and had gloves to pick up wood, glass, concrete and any other big broken pieces lying around. Every time I passed Alex's room I could hear him talking out loud trying to figure out why she left without saying a word. About everyone helping clean knew why she left but why can't he figure it out, is he really in that much of a shock?

I went downstairs and heard that Cat was gonna go check on Alex to see if he was okay and could help us out. I went over to Mr.Cane and asked him, "Hey Mr.Cane, why is Alex in such a shock yet you seem fine?"

He picked up shards of glass and threw them in a trash can next to him and said, "Probably because I know that Janice can take care of herself and that she went to protect us. Alex always saw Janice as his little sister and really nothing else, he always thought of her as weaker as him and needed his protection. I'm sure he knows she can take care of herself more than enough but I don't think he would like to accept it."

I stood there in awe at how much he had to say. "Well that was a long quote huh readers?" Mr.Cane looked confused and asked, "Tyler, who are you talking to? No one else is here." I looked to him and straight at you the reader and I said, "Ah sure."

Kat came back so I went to her and asked, "What's with Alex?"

"He wouldn't talk to me at all." I started walking upstairs and said, "Let me try and snap him out of it." I went into the room and he was sitting on the floor next to his bed. Man is Alex really this much of a reck? I walked up the the bed and sat next to him, What do I say?

"Uhh... so, why you sad?" He stayed quiet and I couldn't feel more awkward. "C'mon come and help us clean-"

"Why?" He interupted me by only asking me that, "What do you mean 'Why'?"

"Why couldn't I keep her out of danger, why couldn't I protect her?" I didn't know why but that pissed me off. *Slap* I smacked him across the face and he held his cheek, "Ow, what was that for?"

"JUST LISTEN TO YOURSELF! This isn't Alex, your Janice's Guardian, Best friend, and Brother." He put his hand down and kept staring off into space. "Alex I know how you feel more than anyone right now, my family was killed in front of me. But realize this, Janice is not dead and she's not gone either. You're her guardian and big brother you have to protect her no matter how far she is, wheither she is on the other side of the world or in another universe you don't give up dammit."

I stood up and walked to the door and stopped before I left the room, "Where's the Alex who never gives up, you have to realize that she's not hopeless when you're not there. She can protect her self more than enough, you trained her for moments like this. Choose to either care and fince her or sit here hopelessly." I closed the door and went downstairs and hopefully he'll do some soul searching crap.

Jak started to carry out some trash bags but came up to me and asked, "How did it go with Alex? We heard a lot of yelling"

"I don't know, he stayed quiet the entire time." After everyone was finishing up with cleaning Alex came down and he seemed to take my advice, he went to the basement and started looking through the pile of stuff in a steel box. Me and Charlie came up to him and I asked, "You better?"

"Yea definitely, thanks. Charlie." He took a look and Charlies injuries, "Yea Alex?" Are you okay, can you still make the portal?"

"I'm still bruised up but yea I'm sure I can make one just fine, why?" Alex pulled out his sword from the box and the look in his eyes was just like before, he was himself again. He started heading upstairs and Charlie asked, "Do you want to head to Daemontrias' world?"

"Yea."

"Okay when do you want to start going." Alex went into the living room to get everyone's attention, "Everyone get ready, were going now."

*One hour later

We were all outside and we already made a plan, find Janice keep Stephanie and Luke outta the way and while Mr.Cane, Mr.Young and Jak and Kat hold them down everyone else will get Janice's mom out and take out Daemontrias. Charlie opened the portal and everyone was out side with everything they needed.

Alex looked back at the house and back at the portal, "Let's do this!" everyone entered the portal and entered Daemontrias' world. It was crazy hot and it looked like everything was destroyed and in flames, all except for one building on top of a hill not too far away.

*Back to Alex's perspective

That has to be Daemontrias' mansion. We walked up to the front door and the mansion was huge, I looked back at everyone, "You guys ready?" Everyone nodded and waited anxiously, I place my hand on the door and made the entire thing freeze, once it was cold enough I punched through the door and it came down in little ice rocks. Luke was on the other side and just as we were about to attack Mr.Cane came in front of us and said, "This is for Candy Cane!" He punched Luke into the ground several inches deep with him also being awake just barely.

Mr.Cane punched him again but this time in the stomach knocking the air right out of Luke. We all stared at Mr.Cane who just single handed knocked Luke out with just two punches. He shook his hand from the pain and said, "What I have super strength too, and it lookes like I'm still pretty good.

Everyone spread out searching the entire house looking for some sort of cell, Jak came and said he found a stairway heading down. We all went there while my dad and Jak and Kat kept Luke tied up, it was a steel door and Tyler said he could feel Janice and her mom down there. Everyone got there weapons ready and I placed my hand on the door knob and said, "Is everyone ready." I opened the door and headed downstairs. Janice and her mom where there, "Hey Janice we came to get you."
