A New Beginning

Why were you there that night?

I don't really dream a lot, but when I do have a dream, it is always the same one. It was the weird dream I had when I saw my mom leave me at the door that night. Every single time I wake up I'm always wondering the same thing Why was he there the night I was given away?

I went down stairs with with a blank face thinking as hard as I can for any reason he wold be there. But nothing comes to mind, I sat down on a chair in the kitchen and Janice walked up behind me and gave me a hug. "Morning Alex" I could hear her give a small smile.

She sat to the seat next to me, "Why do you seem down?" I didn't really feel sad and I was only thinking of the dream. "I'm just tired from waking up." she layed her head on my shoulder as a little "Alright" signal.

We went to the backyard to continue training on her flying skills. As I was still deep in thought I noticed Janice didn't crash even once on the obstacle course I made. When she finisged and came down I was really happy and a bit surprised that she wasn't that much out of breath.

"Wow Janice you finally did it and in less time that I expected you to. She got her water bottle and threw it at me I put my arms up to shield myself but the water still managed to wet me. It was a pretty slow day and we just collapsed on my bed as usual but then Janice sat up and looked at me.

"Alex what have been thinking all day, the entire day I noticed you were constantly looking down thinking." I was completely out of words and energy to tell her but I guess I should tell her now.

After explaining the entire dream she was finally caight up. "Okay, let me get this straight Alex, you saw your mom give you away when you were a baby" I nodded "Then you saw her stand up and she was pregnant got picked upbin a car and you know who the driver is."

I slowly nodded still trying to understand whybwas he there. She then asked, "Well who was the driver?" I looked at her and I slowly said, "It was-" Mr.Cane came into the room with a big smile "Hey guys"

I quickly stood up and witha bit of anger on my face. "Mr.Cane I just need to know why were you there the day my mom gave me away?" I could see Janice with her mouth wide open looking at us both. With her dad staring at me with a blank face.
