A New Beginning

Almost Time

It is almost Janice's Birthday and me Jak and Kat are a bit worried that we're going to have to tell her that were all monsters and her mom was taken away and not dead. Her birthday is two months away and Im getting more nervous everyday, I was wondering if she would get wings like me if both of us have a goddess as a mother. So I have to be ready because I've felt how it is to get wings first come out of your back, I went to her house because she invited me for breakfast.

I was still thinking what would happen after that, Janice noticed I was worried about something, "Hey, Alex what's wrong you seem nervous?" ever since we met she always could tell when I'm lying no matter how hard I try to hide it she always finds out. I guess I can say parts of the truth I looked at Janice and said, "It just makes me feel weird that your almost eighteen and it's been over ten years we've known eachother."

It was true, I am actually surprised and I just hope she knows it's not a lie, she studied me and started staring like she had imaginary laser vision. AFter a few moments she said, "Well don't worry about it, I'm actually surprised that it;s been several years that we've known eachother" I had a big relief and was glad she bought it.

I walked into her room and sat on her bed and I just stared at all our pictures, there was one picture of us on her seventh birthday and I was eight. We had so much fun, she had cake on her face because we got a slice and pressed it on her face leaving frosting all over her cheeks. We were already like brother and sister then and are still like that now.

There was so many pictures of all the cool places we went to ever since she moved here, Janice sat next to me and we both looked at the photos. So much has happened to us ever since we met, late at night I was in the safe house and was hovering on the roof with my wings slowly fluttering with my eyes closed feeling the wind hit my face.

I was just thinking what to do when she discovers everything that we've been hiding from her. Will she get mad, will she understand or even accept that we aren't human and are creatures from another world. I walked back into my room and laid down and just started planning what to say and do when she finds out and how to explain everything.

So the rest of the night I planned what do I do and say when I explain about everything, I basically thought about every possible outcome of what can happen. I eventually came up with an answer, I'll just tell her slowly and calm and try to make it sound not as bad. I know Janice so I know she won't freak out like a crazy person.

The next morning I went to keep training on my speed and stamina, after and hour Janice called my phone, "Hello?" "Hey Alex, I just went to your house but your not there, where are you," "Uhh, I went to the market to get some eggs and milk." I was really nervous but I stayed as calm as I can, and Janice said, "Oh okay, well hurry back."

Before I came home I actually did have to get milk and eggs, surprisingly Janice was waiting outside my house. After I put away the groceries Janice told me she wants to invite me to her cousins birthday party, on the way there my wings were starting to cramp up and they needed to stretch.

Then Janice spoke calmly and said, "Hey Alex, I was wondering... do you think we'll still be brother and sister years from now." I was getting angry that she would even think that but I was worried about that no too long ago. "Janice I promised you that I will never leave, and thats exactly what I intend to."

She was quiet like she had doubt, "Janice if you move away I'll text you or face cam, if that doesn't work I'll send you letters, if that doesn't work I'll follow you where ever you go and never leave your side, but I will always be your brother."

I hugged her but she said "I'm almost eighteen I'm gonna have a lot to do if I want to get a good family and job" I was a bit nervous on what she said, "Janice I will not leave your side don't worry I'm eighteen right now but I'm still here" After the party I hugged Janice goodnight and went to my house I stretched out my wings and collapsed on my bed and just laid down thinking. Well I better tell her before her powers activate.
