A New Beginning

Superhero?

It was 9:00 am and I was out back practicing on a wooden pole with several little poles sticking out of it, like those things you see in karate movies. I stopped after like and hour or so because every time it would break I would have to fix it with my powers and I didn't want to do it anymore.

I went inside and it looked like Jak and Kat were awake and already making breakfast, "Morning Alex" they both said simultaneously. I still could never get used to them talking like that "What are we eating today?" They looked at me and Jak showed me the pot on the stove, I opened it and I could instantly smell something delicious from inside, the pot was filled with veggies and there was some potato and corn and carrots with some noodles.

"Wow this looks and smells delicious," I said as looking into the pot, they both smiled and said "Thanks" I still can't get used to it. "Well I'm going to the grocery store to get more food." I left and went straight to the store. As I was walking through the store I was looking at the list I made and mumbled to myself "Let's see milk check, eggs check, cheese check, pepper, apples, lettuce, oh I forgot to get the orange juice."

As I was walking through the aille for the a girl speed walking with her head down bumped into me but kept walking I had a glimpse of her face but she had a hood on so I couldn't see it entirely. She looked very scared and walked straight out the store. That was weird, I wonder what's her problem?

After I bought the groceries I walked back and there was a building across the street where I hears a girl just start yelling and the building just exploded into flames. I walked towards the building but never crossed the street so I was at a safe distance a while later the firefighters arrived.

I heard them talking and one shouted to the other firefighter "We can't get into the building the fire is too wild!"

"Then use the hose!"

"The Apartment building is too fragile now it could collapse if we do!"

Next thing I knew I was pulling out my sword which can just look like the handle so it can be hidden. I can draw out the blade which causes me to take the armour out which would hide my face and protect me from the flames.

I ran into the building and jumped to the second floor and the first thing I saw was a lady screaming cornered in a room surrounded by fire. Carried her down to the firetruck and she looked straight at me and said, "My husband is still in there!"

I jumped right back in finding him passed out from the smoke on the floor, I grabbed him and lied him down on the floor next to his wife he woke up with a ghasp of air and coughing. He looked at me while his wife was hugging him, "Thank you" I went back inside and started looking for more people. It didn't seem there was anyone else, as I was about to leave I heard a girl screaming in pain and I went towards the girl imediately.

She was the girl who I saw at the store, but she had powers that was shooting fire from her hands, eyes, mouth and it looked like her insides were on fire too. You could see her skin light up bright red through out her body, she was screaming in pain but fainted moments later I grabbed her just before the ceiling collapsed her sweater was burnt to a crisp and had a magenta shirt and blue jeans. I looked around and all around me was either blocked by collapsed rubble or there was no floor I could safely walk across.

Dammit, where do go... wait don't tell me. I looked straight up and saw a hole right above me, Of course that's the only way out. The entire time I was here I made sure I didn't look like I was using my powers but now it doesn't look like I have no choice. First I put the girl down and used my powers to make the building moist so the fire can go out, I made it cold just so it's more effective. I got the girl flew out of there and went into the alley where I left my grocery bags and took them and flew straight to the safe house.

I landed in the back yard and went inside, "Hey guys I need help with someth-" Everyone was looking at the news and you see the reporter at the scene of the fire, "Just now we got photos and video tape of a 'Guardian Angel' coming in and save everyone" How did they see me? You see people who were there when it caught fire, one was the women I saved.

"This man saved me and my husband and he was wearing this like, cool knight armour" then you see the reporter lady again "This video was taken of the Angel flying out the top of the building after it was put out, and guess what, it was not by the firefighters is this a new 'superhero' find ou-" The T.V. Was turned off and everyone was looking at me.

"What were you thinking!?" Janice looked at me, she was maaaad, "I couldn't just let everyone in there just die." The expression of her face just disappeared and she stayed quiet. I layed the girl down on the couch and the next thing I knew I was sent flying out the backyard and through the wall and I was laying in the ruble. Did I just get punched in the face? I must have been because my face hurt. Luckily because I was stronger it just felt like a normal punch rather than a cannon towards your face.

I see Mr.Judo walking out the house and looking at me, "Don't you know when you get your Mianite armor out people can then see you and your powers."

"Oh, well why didn't you tell me?"

BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK THERE WOULD BE SUCH A SITUATION WHERE YOU NEED TO KNOW!"

He had a point "Well what you do." He looked down but mad at himself and said "The exact same thing, Just be careful next time. I got up and remade the wall and fixed it up, my sister was looking at the girl that looked like 18 years. "Who is she?" Janice glanced at me then kept staring at the girl. "I don't know, but she has powers which is why the building caught on fire in the first place."

"Why would she do that?"

"I don't know, but it didn't look like she could control it."

"Oh" she kept staring at the girl with a puzzled face. She looked at me with curiosity "Well, Guardian Angel what are you gonna do since now the city is under your protection?" She smiled as she was teasing me, "Shut up, I don't know I gotta figure something out." The girl started waking up and sat up on the couch with her hand holding her head. "Where am I?" Tyler walked into the living room.

"Hey guys what was all the-" he and the girl locked eyes but not in romance if that's what your thinking, the girl then said, "Tyler, why are you here?"

"I could ask you the same thing." me and Janice looked at them both back and forth then I asked, "Do you two know each other?" Tyler looked at me then back at the girl, "Yea, she was my neighbor."
