A New Beginning

Birthday Girl

It was 2:51 am exactly and I was getting ready to say happy birthday, I was just asking Janice if her dad is gonna get her something. She replied, "Honestly I don't know but he's been acting strange for the past few weeks. Anyways, I really hope he dosen't, you know I'm not a present person yet he gets me them anyway." I was a bit concerned by her answer.

I was planning to tell her everything before she got too suspicious and tried to figure it out herself. I was trying to think of a good answer that won't give anything away but I just thought I should just act like nothing is wrong. So I text back to her, "You know he will get you a gift and as for the strange behavior, maybe he's just nervous about his only little girl is growing up"

After a few minutes of texting back and forth it was finally time to say, "Happy birthday sis hope you don't get shot today" I was really nervous but I know she knows I'm sarcastic. I rushed to her house after a good night sleep and I entered her room to wake her up, her clock just went off and her hair was a mess.

I smiled a bit at the sight, My god she has a bad case of sex hair she woke up from the alarm and she groaned "Just shut the fuck up, you little piece of shit." I thought I could wake her up by joking a bit. "Who are you calling a piece of shit, sex hair" I knew she was mad at the clock but I wanted to make her laugh so she could wake up more. I left the room to let her change for school and went downstairs to the kitchen with her dad.

Kat just passed by me and headed straight for Janice's room, "Good Morning kat" I sat down in the dining room which was six chairs because of visitors. Janice's dad was just past the doorway to the kitchen. "Hey Alex good morning" he looked at me and smiled. I should tell him that Janice is getting suspicious "Hey Mr.Cane Janice is starting to get suspicious about you like your hiding something."

He continued making breakfast and said, "Well I don't need to be secretive any longer." He had a smile but it faded away quick and he said softly, "I just hope Janice can do this and dosn't feel pressure." I was thinking the same thing. "Don't worry Mr. Cane I'll be here incase she feels pressured."

I headed to school after getting ready myself, I was always there usual ride to school after my first class I headed to my next class which was government then I had a strange feeling when I saw a man no more than ten feet away, he was Daemontrias because the last time we met I had the exact feeling.

Except he wasn't looking at me but straight in to another hallway, a few moments later he disappeared and reappeared in another hallway I followed him but stopped to see what he was looking at Janice at the very other side of the hallway. Oh no did she see him I continued following Daemontrias and since he isn't human no one else can see him but my kind.

I followed him until the halls were empty, I finally said something, "Why are you here Daemontrias?!" He turned around and said "Well for Delilah of course" Wait that's Janice's aunt. As he was walking towards me I stood still because I wasn't scared and full of questions. Then I saw him stop and was at the intersection of two hallways of the East and West hallway he turned East and I heard Janice's voice say, "Who are you" my heart was skipping beats now.

I peaked at the east hall and saw Janice there looking straight at him, Oh no she did see him I ran the oppisite direction to get outside to get to the other side of the building where Janice was on the other side of the hallway. I got there just in time to see Janice running from Daemontrias. I yelled to her, "Janice where have you been?" she tried to hide it like she saw nothing, "I'm sorry I went to the bathroom and I-I just lost track of time." I knew that she was trying to pretend she didn't see anything.

"I know when your lying to me, whats wrong?" I saw Daemontrias behind her and placed his hand on her head and she fainted. I stared at her on the ground passed out, I got so mad I made my hand hard as steel and lit my hand on fire. I ran right for him and just before I could hit him he disappeared. I looked all around me but no, he left without a trace.

I took her to her bed so she can rest, her dad was just setting up the table before I came in so he only finished half way to make her favorite food so she won't be too freaked out. After a few hours I was at the safe house waiting for Janice to finally come so I can explain everything, my phone rang. It was Mr.Cane I answered and the first thing he said was "It's time."
