We were running. I felt at ease though because we were laughing. I look down noticing that I'm running on sand. We're on a beach! "This place is so beautiful, wow," I sigh once our run had slowed to a walk. "I used to come here a lot as a kid. I've never brought anyone else here, that includes my two best friends." He chuckled, bringing my hand up to his lips and kissing it. "You're sweet," I tell him with a soft smile now appearing on my features.

My dream is cut short when the red glow of the sun coming through the blinds and onto my eyelids woke me. Why do I have to wake up right when things are going well? I guess it isn't too bad I've woken up since I forgot to set my alarm and I do have that date with Vic today. I turn over and reach for my phone. 11:45AM the clock read on the screen. That's perfect, I have enough time to be dressed. I scrolled through my notifications to see I had received a text from Vic. 'Hey, it's still okay if I come grab you at one right?' I answered, 'That's just fine! I'll be ready when you get here :)' I scrolled through the rest of my notifications, before getting up. I did my usual morning routine, then got up to throw on a casual yet cute outfit Justin helped me pick out. He and Jaime weren't going until a little later. I also put a little makeup on like I did that night before. The makeup helped boost my confidence while it also covered the bruise that was still healing on my face.

I walked down the stairs and found my mom sitting on the couch watching what appeared to be some soap opera.
"Hey mom, I wanted to ask if it'd be okay that I left for the day? I have a friend who wants to hangout with me," I asked.
She thought for a moment, "Who's the friend?"
"His name's Vic, I met him from school. So far he's really cool, he offered to show me around the city today." With a little sigh she nodded a soft smile tugging the corners of her lips. "Okay, update me throughout the day please."
I nodded happily, "Got it!" I heard my phone ding, and I saw it was Vic telling me he was outside. "Okay he's here. Love you mom," I say once I'm at the door.
"Love you too, have fun." I walked outside to see Vic waiting by his car for me. He was dressed more casually than he was the night before. He wore a plain white t-shirt with dark skinny jeans. This time his hair wasn't being pushed down by a hat so I noticed how it almost reached his shoulders. The sun kissed his tan skin making his skin almost illuminate like an angel. "You look beautiful," he complimented, opening his passenger car door for me. My cheeks heated them turning into roses as I sat in the car. Before he closed my door I told him, "Thank you, you're looking very handsome yourself." He shut my door then ran around the other side getting inside the car.

"How's your day been?" He asked as we got buckled. "It's been good, I woke up not too long ago," I chuckled. "How about you?"
"It's been good! I had breakfast and played my guitar for a little bit. Now I'm here with you," he flashed a smile my way. "So do I get to know what we're doing first?" I relax in my seat. "I think I'd like to keep it a surprise, especially since you've never been here before." Vic decided that our first stop would be a park. This park was huge. The first thing that caught my eye was a huge play area for the kids that was castle themed. A little further into the field I could see volleyball and soccer nets. The walking trail made a circle around the park branching off into bridges that led to more wooded areas or different parts of the park. The grass was so vibrant I wanted to run on it without shoes because I knew it'd be soft and a gentle breeze made the trees wave as if they were welcoming me. "This is the biggest park I've ever seen," I say as we climb out of the car. It takes no time for Vic to appear next to me. I moved in a circle to get a full view of what else there was to see. Behind us there was a snowcone stand that had a long line coming from both windows. A few feet away from the stand there stood public bathrooms. Back in Michigan things never looked this alive.
