It was two weeks after that crazy night. My mother of course pressed charges on my father and due to the nature of the case, there's going to be a trial. We still didn't know when it would happen but, we knew for sure, he's not going anywhere for a long time. Mom was doing a lot better as well, she just couldn't leave bed for another few weeks.

I was at school, still slightly limping as I walked to my locker. The day is over, I should expect Vic here to take me home at any minute. Once I reached the locker, I put in my combination and started placing my things inside.
"Kellin?" I heard my name beside me, it was Oliver.
"Oh, what's up?" I put my books away and grabbed my backpack, keeping the books and homework I needed.
"Need any help with those?" He asked with a chuckle.
"I've got it, thanks," I give a soft smile. Oliver and I normally talk in class, he's never shown up at my locker like this, though. "Could I give you a ride home? I'd really like to get to know you better, and talking in class doesn't work out for me." He admitted to me. He came to my locker to flirt? Oh dear, I assumed everyone knew Vic and I were dating by now. Not to mention he knows why I've been so happy lately minus the baby.
"Really?" I questioned, not knowing what else to say, as I shut my locker and leaned with my back against it.
"Yeah. You're really cute and funny, I know there's something more beyond all of that." My eyebrows raised, why this all of a sudden? Vic and I had been together a little while at this point.

"Um... You know I have a boyfriend, right?" I asked awkwardly.
Oliver cocked his head to the side with his eyebrows furrowed. "I thought you guys had broken up. I heard Alex saying something about getting Vic back recently, and when I asked he told me you were available."
Embarrassment pulled the corners of my lips into an awkward smile as I shook my head in response.
"You're not into me at all?" He questioned.
I'm in a relationship. Does that not speak for itself?
I shook my head, "I love Vic. Sorry Oliver. I also wouldn't believe anything else that comes out of Alex's mouth." I told him shutting the locker and pushing up on the lock to make sure it was fastened.
"Hey baby," Vic smiled, walking up to me. Speak of the devil. A smile brightened my features as he pressed a kiss to my head. "Ready? I've got work in an hour," I nodded my head.
"Yep, ready, I'll see you later, Oliver." I laced Vic and I's hands together.
"Yeah." he nodded, walking away without another glance my was.
"Did I walk in on something?" Vic asked with a little frown as we also began walking.
"He has a crush on me, I guess. Alex had apparently said something about getting you back and told Oliver I was single. Why won't he leave our relationship alone." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Oh? We'll have to clear the air about that one. You're my baby boy, and I'm all yours. He must be bored honestly," Vic swung our hands slightly as we walked.

"Hey Aunt Jen, do we have any more ice cream?" I asked, not seeing any in the kitchen freezer.
"I don't think so, we normally don't put ice cream in the freezer outside. I'll make a mental note to get some, though," she told me.
I'd ask Vic to get me some, but he was at work. Maybe he could get me some on his way here later?
"How's your leg healing, by the way?" Jennifer asked.
"It's actually doing okay. Mildly sore now, should clear up soon, I hope."
She nodded, "Let me know if you need anything." Her eyes were sad, like they had normally been these past few days. Jennifer felt as if the house wasn't safe enough, and that was her fault. It's been written in her eyes every day since Wade's paid us a visit.
"We're fine now, Aunt Jen. You didn't have any knowledge it was happening, so It's not your fault. Who thought my crazy sperm donor would be psychotic enough to follow us states away? No one could've seen it coming. Not even us," I explained, hoping that would be enough to calm her at least a little if not completely.
"I just want to keep you guys safe. Especially now that you're finally here, your mom and I honestly didn't think it'd be this soon. So, for me, it's unreal that you're even here. I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself if something happened." Jennifer admitted, pulling the packaged meat from the water it sat in.
