I looked at myself in the mirror, fixing the wrinkle in my dress. I never imagined being in this position when I first started working at my agency. I always thought I would be behind a desk, doing paperwork for someone else or hidden as I infiltrated places for information. To be going out in the field and getting involved in dangerous situations was something I could've lived without.

I mean, look where it got me. I used to be so happy with my life. I had an amazing family who worked their asses off for me, my dream job where I could live my childhood dream of being sneaky and helping others in need, and finding the love of my life and talking of our future together. I didn't have to hide my identity...I didn't have to be alone.

I could've just stayed where I was in the agency from the start. Maybe things would have been different. Maybe Luke and my parents would still be alive. I can't believe I thought I could have a good life.

Wiping the tear from my cheek, I quickly fix my makeup and wig. I pause, staring at myself again and frowning. I rip the wig off and toss it onto the floor. I quickly grab a curling iron and start to fix my actual hair. I was tired of pretending to be someone I wasn't. I want them to know who I was. I want them to know that (y/n) (l/n) will be the one to destroy them.

I step out of the limousine and notice the huge crowd making their way into the building. I adjust the mask that covered my eyes and take a deep breath. The driver closes the door for me and motions me forward. I thought about bringing a date, but decided against it. Not really knowing who to bring. I decided either way, I would still be in the eyes of most of the men. I made my way down the red carpet, ignoring the eyes that watched me. Two security guards open the doors for me and I walk inside. It was a huge ballroom filled with people. Two staircases each had their own side of the room, curving to the upper floor. I looked around, scanning the area for any of the leader's men that I could recognize.

A waiter offers me a glass of champagne. I take the glass and take sip, making my way to a group of people to mingle with. A couple men come over every now and then to flirt and grab my attention, but once I figure out they don't have any information for me, I leave and repeat the process. It was very tiring and boring doing this sort of thing but I wasn't leaving here empty handed. The music started to slow and men searched for a dancing partner. I try to search for the host of this party, but a man walks over to me and holds out his hand. I look down at his hand and then into his eyes. Behind the mask, I knew exactly who it was. Daisuke. I ignored that it was him and grabbed his hand as I noticed a couple men inching their way towards me.

He led me into the middle of the floor and wrapped his one hand around my waist and the other held my hand gently. I made myself comfortable and we began to dance. Some people stared as we swayed and danced. We both knew what we were doing. I lean into his ear and whisper.

"I'm not even surprised you're here. You aren't going to cause trouble, are you?" I grinned.

I hid my anger so no one would interrupt us. He mimics me and whispers into my ear, causing a chill to go down my spine.

"I always cause trouble. You should know this already." He said.

I sigh, ignoring his comment and scanning the room some more. I needed to find my way into the auction soon. Daisuke pulls my body into his more. As much as I wanted to object and shove him away, I couldn't cause a scene here. I glance up at him, noticing the playful smirk plaster his face. I fight the urge to roll my eyes and play along to his charade. I play with the hair on the back of his head with the hand I had on his shoulder, doing my best to be irresistible. I could feel his breath on my neck as he exhaled slowly.
