{ Song: Can't Help Falling In Love by Tommee Profitt }

The world seems different when you know that you are about to risk it all. It's almost as if every second lasts a little longer. Each breath is a little deeper. It's a reminder of how precious it is to be alive, even when it hurts.
It doesn't pass like any other day. The sky is closer to the ground and the air fills the space between the trees around us that are surely taller than all other trees. I find myself noticing everything. I'm not sure that it is a good thing.
When my feet hit the ground and I try to find my balance, I freeze and try to recognise that same pain that I woke up to after the battle at Gaunt's Shack. But it isn't there.
After many determined objections from Hermione, we had agreed to apparate to the woods surrounding the Malfoy Manor. She was convinced that I would get injured since my arm hasn't had much time to heal but somehow, I didn't splinter again.
"Nova? Are you okay?" Pansy asks stressfully when she appears to my right.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I answer quietly and look around.
Our surroundings aren't too different from the place that we left, except for that the woods come to an end not too far from where we are standing. Of course, this is nothing like where we were before we apparated. This is where the Malfoy Manor is located. It is where we will find Fred.
One by one, our group comes together until everyone has arrived and all stare in the same direction. In the distance, the outline of a rather massive building can be seen by those who look carefully. Our destination is within reach. The question is whether we are actually ready to go there.
"Let's go" Violet mumbles and starts to walk between the trees, almost like I had actually given a voice to my doubts.
"Where to?" Harry asks cautiously, clearly determined to make sure that nothing she says or does is trusted blindly by anyone.
She comes to an abrupt halt and sighs irritably as she turns around. The way she is staring at him isn't condescending. It's more like she is attempting to reach through his shield of cynical questions to shut them down.
The muscles in her face seem to clench for a second and her lips are pressed together in a thin line. To see her like this, her emotions showing on the outside, is something that I doubt that I could get used to. She used to be so collected that not even God could have made her stumble over the ground beneath her feet.
"There is a shield of protective spells, all around the Manor and its gardens, which they will know if we break or try to pass the second we do it" she announces and her every word is trembling with unmistakable fear, "Except by the farthest hedge around the northeast garden, behind the fountain"
"But that's on the opposite end of the front door!" Ron exclaims, "You're mad if you're thinking about crossing the entire garden without being noticed"
"I don't think we're going through the front door, Ron" I mumble and glance over at Violet. The crinkles by her eyes and her tense posture makes me lose all my doubts. "Explain while we walk"
She nods carefully and starts walking again in response to my demand. I have barely caught up to her before my shoulder starts to ache again, but mentioning it is not an option. Even the smallest acknowledgement of weakness might make them refuse to let me come, and I have to. I have to.
"There is a breach in the shield" Violet starts again, "When I had made it out of the Manor, I couldn't figure out how to get through the enchantments. I couldn't stay in one place so I moved around for hours, and then I finally noticed it"
