Y/N's POV

I stand in front of the mirror in my hotel room, adjusting my clothes as best as I can. Connor didn't pack too many options for nice restaurants, but I made due with some black trousers and a button up shirt, a tan overcoat completing the look. I've been looking forward to dinner all day, as nerve wracking as it's been. I mean, I've spent time with her before, so why does dinner feel so different?

A knock at my bedroom door pulls me back into focus, Connor's jet black hair pokes it's way in, "Hey, we've got to get going if you're going to get there on time." He says with a quick smile.

"Right." I clear my throat, "This is about as good as it's going to get, so lead the way." I gesture guidingly. We make our way out of the hotel room and into the elevator. I wasn't sure what Wanda was doing all day, I guess I could ask her at dinner.

Connor called a driver ahead of time, he was waiting in the parking garage for us. As we both got in I questioned his ride along, "Are you also joining us for dinner, dear brother?" I joked, tilting my head dramatically.

He laughed, "No, I figured while you two eat, I could go over some stuff with Wanda's assistant and manager so that everything is set for your appearances on the Nick Fury Show."

I quirk an eyebrow up at him, "The same assistant you have googly eyes for?"

He shakes his head at me smiling, "I do not have a thing for Wanda's assistant, she's just nice to talk to is all."

"Sure sure, alright well have fun, I'm not sure how long dinner will run so I'll just meet you back at the hotel room, yeah?"

He gives me a knowing smirk, "Planning on coming back to the room?"

I roll my eyes at his remark, "Yes I'm coming back to the room, it's dinner, not a hookup."

He raises his hands up in defense, mumbling a joking apology, the rest of the ride to the restaurant was filled with a comfortable silence. As we pulled up to the curb the driver told us that we were here and we both thanked him as we got out.

I spot Wanda and her manager and assistant at the corner a few meters away from the front doors of the restaurant, all engulfed in conversation with one another, Wanda lightly laughing about something. I gave myself a quick pep talk, breathing in deeply and starting to walk over. Her green eyes locked onto me almost immediately.

She broke away from the other two women and started towards me with a giant smile plastered on her face, "Hey!"

"Hi." I offered up shyly. Connor walked past the both of us and straight towards the others, beginning to talk with them. "You ready for dinner?" I ask, still a little nervous.

"Starving, but-" She leans into me, whispering into my ear, "I'd kill for some greasy street food right about now." She says with a laugh like it's a secret.

"Why don't we ditch and go do that?" I whisper back, holding her close to me with my hands on her hips.

She leans back, looking at me with questioning eyes, "What about the reservations?"

"You really want to sit down and eat an overpriced childs serving of zucchini pasta?" I joke, knowing that based on my research on the restaurant that I did back at the hotel, it was the type of fancy that, rather than giving you a normal serving, offered barely enough food to be considered a tasting.

She chuckles out, "You're right, that sounds lackluster at best."

"So screw the reservations at this terribly impractical fancy restaurant and let's eat our weight in cheap, bad for you street food." Her hand reaches up, resting on my chest.
