Y/n's POV
I barely remember getting home last night, after a long day of shooting, Connor drove me back home and I crashed until late in the morning today, but unfortunately I had to get ready and head back to the lot for our night shoot with Yelena. We would be doing the first date scene with Sersha and Rae, and honestly I was looking forward to it. So was Yelena, I think.
Though, still exhausted from the whirlwind of yesterday, it's my brother who physically drags me out of bed and pushes me into the SUV at 2:30pm to drive me to downtown Hollywood were the studio is located.
After a long session in the hair and makeup trailer, lacking the excitement that Natasha Romanoff brought yesterday, I was back on set, walking up to a mess of blonde hair and a striking shade of red lipstick.
"Hey, Sunshine." I greet, pulling Yelena into a friendly hug, one in which she seems to melt into, wrapping her arms around my torso easily.
"You look tired." She comments, muffled as she rests her lips on my sternum, but speaking loud enough for me to make it out.
I chuckle at how blunt she can be, "That's so nice of you to say."
Her grip tightens around my ribs, bringing me impossibly close as her shoulders manage to rise and fall against my chest with a shrug, "I'll never not be honest with you."
"I think I just might prefer it if you lied to me." I tease, resting my chin on the top of her head as I settle into her clingy nature, not ready to let me out of her arms just yet.
"I didn't say you looked bad," Lifting her gaze so that our eyes meet, "you look beautiful, as always," She licks her lips lightly, "but it seems like you're not getting enough sleep, is everything okay?"
I breathe in sharply at her question. I had thought I was hiding my stress fairly well, but nothing seems to get past Yelena, at least this doesn't. "Yeah-" I nod solemnly, looking deep into her doe eyes that seem to house nothing but admiration when she looks at me, "Just an article got published yesterday-" I start but stop when I hear her huff out.
"I saw." She tells me, "That dude is an asshole, not you, okay?" Her hands run up and down my sides in a soothing manner, I haven't felt this at peace under someone's touch since Wanda, "Screw what that guy said about you."
"He mentioned you too." I comment, wondering what her thoughts are on how she was portrayed in the article.
Her hand waves the notion off, "I've been tied to worse things than possibly sleeping with you."
I laugh out at the bluntness of her words. "You make it sound so terrible to be thought of as with me."
Her head shakes slightly before her eyes find mine again, deepening their gaze as if to tell me something more than her lips let slip out, "It wouldn't be terrible to be with you, Y/n, I'd be one lucky girl if that was the case. What's terrible is how it's making you feel."
"I'll be okay, I promise."
"Good. Now, are you ready to get to work?" She beams up at me.
I nod, "Lead the way."
She takes my hand and drags me up onto the sound stage, getting in position for the date scenes we are shooting today. Smoothing down her dress, she shakes off the nerves, subconsciously so do I. We are only filming everything up to when Sersha and Rae have their first intimate moments of the movie, but that means tomorrow we are diving straight into it. No foreplay, no dialogue, just getting down to it immediately. Though, despite the singular scene, we are going to be busy filming for hours to make sure it's portrayed correctly, as well as the studio wanted to make sure Yelena and I were comfortable throughout it all.
