Oh what fun

I crept over to the person that lay face down on the ground, their arms tightly wound around their torso. I had no idea why they were here or why they were face down in the dirt. I scrunch my nose a bit as I think of the person possibly being drunk. It would make sense as to how they ended up how they are.

"Hey, person! Wake up!" I called out a few feet away from them. I didn't want to get within a sword's reach of them until I knew they were out cold. When I got no response I grabbed a rock and threw it at their shoulder. "Nothing." The person didn't even budge. Next I grab a long stick and poke at their side before moving onto the side of their head. I sat there and poked their head a few times with the stick before they let out a groan making me jerk back a little. I was a little surprised when their head lulled to the side showing that their eyes were shut and their mouth was slack. So they were definitely unconscious.

I drop the stick after the person didn't so much as twitch to make sure I was right about them being unconscious, no way someone could stay still for that long and be awake. I walk over to the boys body and circle him a few times before I crouch behind his back. I reach a hand over and roll him onto his back.

"Well, that looks like it may hurt a little." Now I knew why they were face first in the dirt. Their white shirt was covered in blood. Their hands had gone limp as I rolled him over showing his reason for passing out. "But why are you out here...?" I look the boy up and down once more spotting the badge that was stitched into his jacket sleeve.

"Royal guard, huh?" I stare at the man's wound as I decide on what to do. Leave him here to die? Or take him back to my house and treat him... I wasn't sure if I had any trouble from the royals around here. But, I do steal from one of the villages in their kingdom... Yet, they didn't see it as much of a problem if they didn't send better guards to keep me away.

"Oh what fun." I sigh as I stand and make my way back to my house, picking the bucket of water up as I went.

"You're getting blood all over my sheets!" I complain to the unconscious man that now lay on my bed. I had decided to fetch Max to help bring the man to my house knowing full well there was no way in hell I could lug the person alone.

It took many rags and a few more trips to the creek before I had the man's wound clean. Now all that was left was to sew him up. I could easily tell the wound was from a sword. I had a few in my time on the run, nothing this bad though. I wondered why in the world a royal guard was out in the forest alone and how he had ended in the state. No one in their right mind would dare attack a royal guardsmen. That was a sure fire way to get one's self hung.

After he was all bandaged up I gathered the dirty rags and threw them out back in a tub filled with water to soak. I was not looking forward to cleaning those later.

I let a huff pass my lips as I started on making food, hoping he would sleep all through the night so I didn't have to bother with him longer tonight. I was worn out from getting his to tall ass here and treating his wound.

Once I had finished making myself some food with a bit extra in the side just in case he did wake. I sat in the corner farthest away from the bed as I ate and just watched the man sleep. Sounded creepy I know. But, he was a random person that had wondered far to close to my house for my liking, royal guard at that. On deaths doorstep. There was no telling what the reason was for him being out here injured like that. I had no idea if the person that had hurt him was still around or not. Tonight was going to be a long night that was for certain.

The hours slipped by as I sat in the corner with my back leaned into the wall. It was getting harder and harder to keep my eyes open. I heave a sigh as I stand and stretch my limbs in an attempt to get rid of the fatigue that was coming on strong. I decide to wipe the dirt off the man's face seeing as I had nothing else to do to stay busy.

I grabbed a new rag and dunked it into the basin of water. I twist it to get rid of the excess water before I turn and sit down in a stool I had placed by my bed. First I wipe the dirt from his forehead. Pushing his dark hair back so I could clean it properly. Then I moved onto his nose and cheeks. I had to admit this man was handsome.

I stop my hand as it hovered over his chin. "I guess nothing wrong with thinking the truth." I shrug before I finish wiping his face free of the dirt he had landed in. I checked the bandage on his stomach one last time before I stand and make my way back to my oh-so-comfy spot for the night.

I was able to stay strong against the exhaustion for a few more hours before I started to nod off. Not knowing what else to do to keep myself awake, I fall into the inviting sleep.

Getting scared to the point of almost having heart failure was not the best way to wake up.

"What the actu- Put my sword down!" I cut myself off as I realized the royal guard had my own sword pointed at my chest. I was a bit surprised to see him standing, let alone being as steady as he was.

"Who are you and how did I get here?" He ignored my demand for him to lower my weapon. It's not that I was afraid of him killing me, I was worried he would damage my sword. That bitch took a lot of effort to steal, almost lost my life for that thing.

"How about you sit down and we talk like adults?" I raise a brow as I notice a bead of sweat make it's way from his temple to his jaw line. His free hand was wrapped around his bandaged torso, his bloody half torn shirt hanging down over his hand.

"Answer me!" He pushed the sword closer to my chest as he raised his voice a little.

"Woah, calm down. I'm the one that saved your ass. I'm starting to think that was a bad idea though." I rolled my eyes before pushing the blade that was pointed at me away. I stand to my feet before he could swing it back around. "You don't have the strength to fight. Sit down and we can talk. I did not waste my time, energy, and material to save you only for you to kill yourself from over doing it so soon." I crossed my arms and tapped my bare foot as I waited for the man to sit down.

He stared at me for a moment before backing away and landing on the bed a little to hard. He sighed as he set my sword down on the bed next to him, his grip on his side never wavering. I knew he had to be in pain, the cut was pretty deep and me sewing him up probably made the area even more sensitive.

"See, easy." I offer a thin smile as I cross my arms and wait for him to speak again.

"Who are you?" He questioned again as he stared me down.

I let out a huff of a laugh from my nose as I walked over to the water pot. I pour him a cup and set it on the table next to my bed within his arms reach. I wasn't going to hand it to him, but I would still offer it to him if he wanted it.

"I'm Seori." I say as he takes the water and gulps it down. "I wouldn't drink to fast, might make you sick." I warn knowing he was probably dehydrated and starving.

"No surname?" His eyes landed on me once more as he set the cup down. I shake my head as I now head over to a cabinet that I keep my fruits and vegetables in.

"Would you like some food?" I look over my shoulder and wait for him to answer.
