Turns out, sleeping on the ground was not that bad.

I sit up and stretch after the sun had already risen, it's warmth burning through my eyelids waking me up.

"I hope you know, you've had people looking for you all morning." Sunghoon said as he walked over, his hands shoved in his pockets.

"Sorry, I fell asleep so fast out here."

He sighs with a smile as he offers me a hand up. "You need to rest, in a bed."

"What is this for?" I ask after he pulled me up and into his arms.

"You looked like you could use a hug."

I don't say anything as I accept his hug and wrap my arms around his waist, this is the most affection I've received since I was little, I liked it, but I also felt on edge about it. If I got used to it I would miss it in the end as well.

"Heeseung should be returning soon." Sunghoon said as he pulled away and started heading for the castle.

"Good, I'm ready to speak with the witch." I didn't know if the kings offer for me to go still stood, but I would go even if he didn't like it.

We enter into the dinning room and I take a seat between Ni-ki and Jongwon across from Sunoo and Sunghoon.

Sunoo let out a laugh as he covered his mouth. I felt my hair get pulled a little making me snap my head around to Ni-ki, he was pulling grass out of my hair.

I felt my cheeks burn as I brush my hands through my hair to try and get anymore grass out of it, I probably looked a mess, but I didn't care to much. I explain to them I had fallen asleep outside, making them all laugh a little more.

I was shocked to see the king enter and take his usual seat at the head of the table. My eyes following him until he looked up and caught me staring.

During breakfast we all just chatted about what the witch may know or be like, no one here had actually met her before besides the king when he was a kid.

After breakfast I go and clean up before heading for the stables to spend sometime with Max and to catch Heeseung when he first arrived.

It was past lunch when Heeseung and the other guards finally showed up.

"Is it a coincidence that you're here, or are you a little impatient?" Heesung asked as he dismounted and handed his horse off to the stable hands.

"Who knows." I grin as I follow him to the castle. "How was the trip though?"

"Uneventful really. The witch... is odd, but I guess that's what happens when you live your whole life in the middle of the forest."

"Wait, am I odd? I lived in the woods for five years alone." I turn to him with my brows raised, I wanted to see what he had to say about me.

"That was only five years, you weren't too odd."

I punch his arm making him laugh as he rubbed it, I cracked a smile as well. Though, the voice in my head kept nagging me, telling me this would all be ending soon, telling me to stop getting even more attached to them.

I brush it away, I've had enough hurt in my life, what was one more heartbreak? Well, my heart would break seven times over this time, I would miss them all differently, they had all grown on me in different ways.

The king calls a meeting so we could all hear what Heesung had to say about the witch, was she willing to see us?

"There's not much to tell, she knew we were coming, as soon as we got to her house she was outside waiting. She told us to hurry back and let the king know she would be waiting." He then turns to me. "She also said to make sure you went along, she had much to show you."

Well, it was set for me to go.

"Good, we leave first thing in the morning." I say as I stand to go find the maids that usually take care of my clothes, I wanted them to make sure all my pants and shirts were where I could pack them. I had been wearing dresses since we arrived so they could wash and fix my other clothes.

I give the king a look to see if he would say anything different, when he didn't even look at me, I turned and left. Now the sadness was turning into anger, he was starting to become ridicules.

After my bags were packed I go looking for Heeseung, I needed to make sure someone knew where the stones were just in case something were to happen.

After I knock I hear him call out letting me know to come in.

"What can I help you with?" He asked as he sat on his bed reading.

"I wanted to show you were I hid the stones, just in case..."

He closed his book and nodded before following after me.

"You're something else." He said as he shook his head.

"It's a great spot, I know."

He chuckled while looking at the brick that covered the stones hiding place.

"That's it!" I slam the bag I was holding down before I stomp over to the king.

It was the next morning and he was still acting as if I didn't exist.

"Do we have a problem here?" I ask as I grab the collar of his shirt, my anger getting the best of me.

We were just about to leave and he had not said one word to me, or even looked at me. We were about to be stuck together for two days so this would not keep working.

"No."

The fist word he has said directly to me since he left the pond the night before.

The others stood stiff waiting to see if they needed to step in.

"Then stop acting like I'm not even here!" I raise my voice, this was childish and stupid.

All he did was turn his head, I push him away with a huff and go back to what I was doing.

Fuck him.

Two could play this game.

Once done I turn to the guard and offer them all a smile.

"Wow." Jay said as he offered me his hand like before. "Try not to kill the king please."

"I'm not making any promises."

The rest offer me a hug or their hand as well while letting us know to have a safe trip. Sunghoon offered me a medical bag, all of them knowing that the stones were staying behind for safety, Heeseung was the only one that knew their location right now, though I didn't mind if he told the others they were just not to speak about it around anyone at all that wasn't in the upper guard.

I mount Max and follow after one of the lower ranking guards that had went with Heeseung to see the witch, I didn't care if the king was already on his horse or not.

The only reason we didn't bring more then two lower ranking guards was because of Gyu lurking around, and the less people that knew, the better.

Jake had wanted his royal guard to stay at the castle just in case Gyu came back and tried to stir trouble while we were away.

Once away from the castle grounds we cut into a small trail that led through the woods, it was a good path because the tree leaves and pine needles would help cover most of our tracks.

I look back to see how much of a trail we left, my eyes meeting the kings for a second before I just turn around and keep riding.

Sorry if the parts are a little shorter, it just works with we're I want to end them, if I didn't end then early they would probably drag to far on. But the end is getting closer...
