The king paced the length of his room as he was processing the news of Seori being gone, they had searched the inn, the stables next door, no sign of her anywhere.

"You put to much trust in her." Jay said as he sat on the kings bed along with a few of the other guards.

"Her stuff is still here, you really think she would leave without her horse? She was very adamant about keeping her horse close." Heeseung spoke up.

He had a point, all her things were left in her room, even the water stone. If she were to run, why leave that stuff? Why leave her horse?

"Get your things together, we're searching the town." Jake said, grabbing up his sword. "Meet me at the stables when you're ready."

The king made his way out of the inn, strapping his sword to his side as he went. He could feel a bit of panic trying to claw at his stomach, worried that his kingdom and people would really die if they couldn't find Seori.

He makes it to the stables and catches sight of Seori's horse, an idea came to him, maybe he could use her horse to find her. They seemed very close, the horse was very well trained from what he could tell.

"Do you know where Seori is?" The king asked the horse, he didn't know why he asked, but he was on edge, something felt off about all of this.

The sun was far to bright as I get woken up in a very rough manner.

"Get up!" I feel a kick to my side causing my body to automatically curl  in on itself, not the best way to wake up.

"I'm up." I croak out as my forehead was still touching my knees to keep him from hitting anywhere important again.

Now that my body was awake and my brain more aware, my face started to pulse with pain from where I had been kicked unconscious, I knew for a fact when I looked in a mirror it would not be pretty.

"It's been so long, Seori." My skin crawled at the painfully familiar voice.

"Ezra." Even his name tasted bitter on my tongue even after so many years.

I uncurl myself so I could look him in the eye, now that I knew he was here, he would want a show, a show I was not going to give him.

The older man's face scrunches as he looks over my face. "They did a number on you, huh?" He motions with his hands for his men to pull me to my feet. "Why, after so many years are you back in town?"

"Just passing through." I try to shrug, but his men held my arms to tight for me to make any kind of movement.

"'Just passing through'? Then why did you come here in the middle of the night and take one of my girls?"

"I didn't take her, I just helped her get away." My eyes look around the room trying to find anything to help me with an escape plan, the room was pretty bare, the guards did have weapons on them though, including my knifes the one on my right stole.

Ezra takes a step closer. "You know how it works around here yet, you interfered and set one of my girls go before she could pay her family's debt, you remember what happens to people who mess with my girls without paying?"

My gaze automatically goes to the floor for a second before I pull myself together, I was not the same girl as I was back then, I would not be afraid of what he wanted to do to me for letting an innocent girl go.

Ezra let out a chuckle when he caught my slip up, he knew all to well that I remembered everything, no matter how hard one tried, the past was a rough thing to forget.
