Mom was true to her word, two days later the house was officially unpacked. I looked around astonished to see things that hadn't been unpacked in years out in the open. At breakfast mom fussed around the kitchen trying to decide where she wanted to put all the decorations, pots and pans, and all the other things you put in a kitchen. I was almost glad when Evie and I left for school to get away from her fussing.
"So what should we do for our girls' night tonight?" She asked as she pulled out of the drive way.
"Is there anything to even do here?" I joked with her.
"Do you want to go bowling?" She said completely ignoring my comment.
"I haven't been bowling since we were little, I guess we could go."
"Great and afterwards we can get ice cream. I hear there is this little ice cream place near the center of town that has really good ice cream."
"Alright but if I'm buying then you're getting a small!" I wasn't going to let her bankrupt me just because I lost a bet.
"Oh you're such a cheapskate!" She tried to slap my arm but she swerved the car and had to put both hands back on the steering wheel.
"Hey watch it their sis you're carrying precious cargo," I snickered remembering the words mom had told Evie the first time she drove with me in the car.
"Yeah, yeah precious cargo, whatever. Precious cargo or not you still owe two rounds of bowling and ice cream."
I sighed, "Sometimes I don't know why I bother with you."
"Because you love me that's why," she giggled as she pulled into a parking spot at school.
School had been interesting the past few days. I spent my time divided between York, Miles and Violet and their friends and Bea, Daphne, and Ronan. They seemed to have some sort of truce but I think it was only because they all realized I wouldn't tolerate any fighting. It was strange receiving so much attention at this school. At my old schools I was never around long enough to really draw attention, but here it was as if everyone was fascinated with the new girls. I was still waiting for that moment Violet mentioned where I would stop being the "new" girl.

"I convinced my sister to let me join you all at your sleep over," Ronan said with a sly grin on his face, we were walking to class after lunch. I had been sitting with York at lunch but as soon as the bell rang Ronan was at the table waiting to walk me to class.
"Your little guard dog is here," York had muttered under his breath, I punched his arm.
"Be nice," I had said but laughed a little too. He was right ever since meeting Ronan he had stuck by my side like glue. He would sit with me in all the classes we had including the ones we shared with York and the others. He walked me between classes unless York beat him to it. The two of them had a not so friendly rivalry and I couldn't quite figure it out, they both knew that I considered myself friends with both of them.
"I hope you don't mind," I heard Ronan asked and I remembered that I was walking to class with him.
"It's your home I can't tell you to be there or not. But I'm surprised you want to be there with a bunch of girls."
"I don't care what I do as long as I get to hang out with you," I felt my cheeks flush. I heard him chuckle next to me, "I like making you blush its cute."
