I did ask my parents if I could hang out with York after school, they of course were all for it. Would York see this as a date, or just two friends hanging out? York met me outside of the gym with a big smile on his face. "So did your parents say it was ok?" He asked me.

"Yeah they did. " I reached him and looked up into his face. I could tell he was excited to hang out as we started walking down the hall side by side.

"So this place is called Grumpy's. It's just a little burger joint but it serves some good burgers. And of course the milkshakes I promised you earlier."

"That's perfect because I'm already starving, and I'm craving an Oreo milkshake," And as if on cue my stomach growls loudly.

He chuckled at me, " Well come on then let's get a milkshake into you. Maybe afterwards we can head to the movies?" He asked me and I nodded in agreement. " You know what my favorite shake is?" He asked me and I just shook my head. "My favorite is watermelon Oreo." He grinned at me as if he was proud of this fact.

I almost gagged, "Ew that sounds disgusting!"

"What? Are you crazy? No it doesn't, it's delicious." He was the one who was looking at me like I was crazy.

"No I'm not crazy but I think you might be. York Watermelons and Oreos do not go together at all," By now we were almost outside of the school when I saw Evie. "Wait here York and think about your bad choices in milkshakes while I go tell my sister where I'm going." I laughed at him as I ran towards Evie with protests from York. "Hey Evie."

"Oh hey Em, ready to go?" She hefted her book bag further over her shoulder as she looked at me.

"Actually mom and dad said it was ok if I hang out with York for a little while after school."

My sister's eyebrows shot up in surprise, "As in a date?"

"No," I shook my head. "As in two friends hanging out together, I'm sure you could come if you wanted too."

"No it's alright I'll just go home. Do you need me to pick you up?" She was now looking over my shoulder at what I assumed was York.

"I don't know, I'll let you know but I should probably get going." I turned around to head back to York.

"Have fun on your date," Evie whispered to me as I left. I just sighed and rolled my eyes at her. York and I made our way out of school and to his car; soon we were walking into a small little diner called Grumpy's. It looked like a regular small town restaurant but the smell was amazing. When the smell hit me my stomach rumbled.

" You really are hungry aren't you?" He asked me chuckling.

"You think I wouldn't be but apparently I am." I admitted. We sat down at a booth and he handed me a menu. I looked at the long list of milkshakes and there it was a watermelon Oreo milkshake, I shivered just thinking about it. I quickly decided what I wanted and put my menu down. A cute teenage girl came up to take our order; she smiled sweetly at me before turning her gaze to York.

"Hi York, do you want the usual?" She batted her eyelashes subconsciously.

"Yeah Sheila the usual would be great thanks." He smiled at her and she blushed. The poor girl obviously had a crush on him, but he didn't seem to notice.

"And what can I get for you?" She turned towards me a blush still on her cheeks.

"Can I get a number one with an Oreo mint milkshake," I asked.
