"Are you ready for this?" Evie asked me as we got our bags out of the car. We walked slowly up to the red painted door of Bea and Ronan's house. It was a two story white house with red shutters and door and the lawn was freshly mowed. It looked like a perfect house; but for some reason to me it looked ominous. I wasn't sure why I was so nervous about this sleep over, I knew that they weren't axe murderers or anything like that but it still made me uncomfortable. Maybe it was just the thought of the unknown that scared me, not knowing what to expect.
"Yeah I guess so," I sighed and rang the doorbell. To my surprise it was Ronan who answered the door wearing a pair of jeans and a soft looking green flannel shirt not buttoned all the way. I could see part of his bare chest and his defined muscles.
"Hello Evie, Emmy glad you guys could come. My sister and Daphne have really been looking forward to tonight." Ronan stepped out of the way to let us through the door. As I walked by I accidentally brushed hands with Ronan and shuddered, I heard Ronan take a deep breath and then suddenly felt his hand grab my arm. I stopped and looked at him questioningly; he looked confused and slightly angry.
"Is something wrong?" I asked hesitantly. His grip on my arm was tight but it didn't hurt.
"Why is...have you...who have..." Ronan couldn't seem to form a full sentence and it would have been amusing if I didn't see the anger in his eye.
"What is it? Did something happen?" I asked now feeling very worried. He hadn't let go of my arm yet, instead he stepped closer to me. He was now inches away from me and he took another deep breath in his eyes turning a shade much darker than his own.
"Why do you smell Like Forrest Hill?" His voice was deep and resentful. I was confused, what was he talking about? I looked around to see if Evie was just as confused as I was but she had gone into a different room and I was left alone with Ronan.
"What are you talking about Ronan?" I asked trying to move further away from him, but he wouldn't let me budge; he was incredibly strong.
"Have you been hanging around with Forrest? When did you meet him? What have you done together?" He bombarded me with questions that made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, what was it to him. I pushed with all my might and he finally let go.
"I don't think it's actually any of your business or concern." I told him harshly. How did he know I had met Forrest anyway? And some sort of greeting that was, a nice way to start off a sleep over.
"Yes it is," He grabbed my wrist this time and pulled me closer. "Tell me," he whispered.
"Ronan what are you doing?" Bea's voice cut the air and I let out a sigh of relief. Ronan didn't say or do anything; he just stood there holding my wrist as he looked down at me. "Ronan let go of Emmy." Bea said with exasperation. But still Ronan didn't listen to her, his eyes looked black now as he watched my face.
"Emmy tell me right now," His words were low and hard.
"No," I said defiantly. I don't know why I didn't just tell him, it's not like it was a secret that I was hiding. But the way he was acting was making me and angry and I refused to give into him.
"Ronan Andrew Clark you let go of that girl this instance do you hear me?" A loud feminine voice said from behind him. I snuck a peak and saw an older version of Bea standing there looking angrily at her son. I was surprised when he ignored his own mother and continued to hold my wrist tightly.
"1," the woman began to count, nothing. "2," Ronan's eyes flickered slightly unsure. "3," Ronan let go immediately and turned to face his mother.
"There are you happy now?" He asked her gruffly.
