We spent the rest of the day watching movies, playing games, and talking. We also finished the pizza and made chocolate chip cookies, although we probably only made half of the actual cookies because we kept eating the dough. It ended up being a really good night all around and I felt like thanking my sister for making me come. We were sleeping in Bea's room; all of us sprawled around the floor in sleeping bags. I had fallen asleep almost immediately but it wasn't a restful sleep.

I was having a dream; I was sitting under a tree in a forest. It was so real I could feel the wind on my skin and the hard ground under me. The sun was shining through the trees casting green rays of light everywhere. I was content in the dream just sitting under the tree and watching the world move on. It was so peaceful, even when a tall slender woman came out from behind a tree, I still felt calm. The woman walked towards me and I watched in fascination as her hair that seemed to be constantly changing colors flowed behind her. When she drew closer I saw that her eyes were silver and shining brightly, her lips were plump and a light pink and her skin was porcelain smooth. She was one of the most strange and beautiful women I had ever seen.

Her hair was now subtly changing from a flaming red to a light auburn as she spoke, "You are a very special human Emmaline." Her voice was strong and musical and yet it seemed to whisper through the trees; I could have listened to it forever.

"What does that mean?" I asked feeling as if I were in a trance.

"It means that you were given a destiny not many humans are given." Her hair began to change again from auburn to a deep which chocolate brown. "Child you are going to unite a people." I finally started to understand what this woman was telling me; I was special? I was going to unite a people? That didn't make any sense.

"You must be confused I'm just a regular girl, I don't even know what you are talking about." I stood up and made to walk away, but vines suddenly shot up and blocked my path.

"I do not make mistakes Emmaline. You were made for a purpose and you will fulfill your destiny," The woman stepped closer to me until she was a foot away.

"Who are you?" I whispered. Her hair was now a raven black as she smiled at me.

"I am a creator of a people child. Most call me Moon Goddess, but you are special and may call me Selene."

"You're a goddess? But that can't be there are no such things as gods and goddesses!" She must be crazy, I thought. Suddenly the wind picked up heavily and my hair whipped sharply around my face, I wrapped my arms around my body to shield myself from the cold. "Watch your tongue! How dare you say that I am not real! You are but a child who I chose to use for my purposes, and if necessary I can always choose another!" Her voice roared and the wind shook the trees, I gasped and fell to my knees.

"I'm sorry! I did not mean to offend you!" The wind that had been howling a second ago stopped and the forest was quiet and calm once more. My head was bowed afraid to look up at the beautiful woman, until I felt a light hand on my shoulder. It instantly soothed me and I looked up to find the woman kneeling before me her hair now a golden yellow and she looked like an angel.

"I'm sorry child; I did not mean to frighten you. But it is of grave importance that you come to understand your destiny," Her voice was once more quiet and whispering through the trees. I felt my body immediately relax and I fell back onto my bottom so I was sitting cross legged in front of her.

"But I don't understand! What is my destiny? Who are the people that I am meant to Unite?"

"You will understand eventually, you will not learn it all in one day. But gradually you will come to understand."
