As chemistry ended York came over to my desk and bowed deeply, "Are you ready my lady?"

"I am, good sir," I stood laughing. He offered me his arm and I took it after putting my back pack on. Once we were in the hall York started doing the Wizard of Oz "Were Off to See the Wizard" skip, down the hall. I joined him and soon people were moving out of our way so we wouldn't run into them, by the end of the hall we were in a fit of giggles. "So where are we eating today?" I asked him as we made our way outside; he pulled me along away from the building to a big tree.

"Right here," He plopped down and leaned his back on the trunk of the tree. "Not many people come outside to eat, is this ok?"

"Yeah it looks good." I sat by him our shoulders touching. We were facing the building and we could look into the cafeteria but outside it was just York and I. We chatted easily about non important things; it was nice to have a light hearted conversation about nothing particularly heavy. As I finished my sandwich I pulled out a small package of Oreos and offered one to York, he took the cookie and then pulled the cookie apart to lick the icing out of the middle. "Ew that's not how you should eat Oreos." I scrunch my face up at him in disgust.

"What? Of course this is how you eat them, and then of course if I was at home I would dunk the cookies in milk. Why how do you eat them?" He's looking at me like I have two heads and I laugh.

" Well, first of all if I were at home I like to put peanut butter on them, but you are supposed to dunk them whole in the milk." My statement causes a two minute debate about the correct way to eat an Oreo before we both come to the mutual decision of agree to disagree.

"You know if you like Oreos so much I should take you to this great diner in town, they have the best and craziest milkshakes around. But there specials are there Oreo milkshakes."

I hummed at the thought of a milkshake, "That sounds so good right now."

"You want to come with me after school?" He looked at me hopefully and I couldn't find it in me to tell him no, plus I really wanted a milkshake.

"Sure that sounds fun, although I'll have to check with my parents to make sure it's ok." He nodded and reached over for another cookie.

"So do you like moving around so much?" York asked me after we were finished eating.

"It's all I've ever really known, I'm so used to it I don't know what it's like to live in one place for a long time."

"I don't want you to go," He bumped my shoulder with his.

"Well according to my parents we're here until I graduate." I sighed, still not a hundred percent sure that it was the truth.

"And then what? What do you want to do after you graduate?"

"I don't know college probably. To be honest I haven't really thought much about the future. What about you?"

"I'll probably just stay here and uh, take over the family business." He didn't sound very excited about it.

"Well, is that what you actually want to do?" I asked him. I hated when parents forced their dreams for their kids onto them, it wasn't fair to their children.

"It's not that I don't want to take over the family business. But I think I would like to go to college first." He sighed wistfully.

"Then you should go to college! Besides it would probably be handy to go to college if you are going to run a candy store successfully."
