That night we ordered take out and had dinner here with Elliot's brothers. They asked more questions about the baby and our relationship. I answered them honestly not wanting to lie.
I found out that the oldest, Toby, was 36 and had a wife and 2 kids. Then Theo was 28 and was getting married to his boyfriend of 6 years in a couple months. He then apologized for not inviting me to the wedding which didn't make much sense since he didn't even know I existed. He then invited me and asked me to be one of his groomsmen because he only had 2 and wanted more.
Theo seemed like the sociable type. He treated me as if we had know each other for years. I didn't mind though. I was getting along great with him. Toby was more laid back but he was also very sweet. I could tell he was really smart though. The way he carried himself and the way he talked was so formal. In the end they stayed the whole night until Elliot kicked them out saying that I needed to sleep. Even though he was the one that really needed to lay down.
His brothers gladly accepted me and I was grateful. I could tell they they were all close so it meant a lot to Elliot that they liked me. They were also very excited to have another baby. Toby's kids are 10, 8, and 7 so it's been awhile since there has been a baby. Theo offered to watch the baby whenever we needed. He is so sweet. All 3 of the brothers are Alphas. For awhile they thought Theo might be an omega but in the end he turned out to be an Alpha.
Everything had been going amazing. I met some of Elliot's family and I liked them. They also liked me. I was so happy then of course that all came crashing down when I got a phone call.
"Dexlynn? I need you to come home. Something happened."
My mother called me for the first time in a couple months telling me I had to go home. None of my family knows about Elliot let alone the baby. I'll be 7 months along in a week. And I haven't told anyone. But here I was in the car with Elliot on the way to my childhood home. I clung to Elliot's arm not letting him move away. He tried to sooth me the entire way but nothing helped. I kept picking at my nails until Elliot kept a firm hold on one of my hands so I couldn't. I bounced my leg and bit my lip.
"Dex...it'll be ok. Stop biting your lip."
I shook my head no.
"It won't! My mom and dad are old fashioned! My other siblings were married before they had a kid! They won't ever want to see my or our baby again! They even wanted me to marry a women..."
Elliot seemed taken back by the last part.
"You're kidding right?"
"No! My brothers married women and my sister married a man! They had been talking to me about getting married to this girl that they picked out after I was done with college! They picked all of my siblings spouses!"
Elliot seemed genuinely concerned about the part of my parents picking out my spouse and even more so when I said woman.
Elliot placed his hand on my bump.
"No matter what they say to you or to me...I love you. I love you and our soon to be son. I promise you that I will never leave again. Ok?"
I smiled. The worries started to vanish. All I need is Elliot and our baby. Tyler and Cate too. They are the ones that love me no matter what. They are my real family.
We pulled up outside the house and I could see my mother and sister talking through the window. Elliot game me a reassuring smile before we got out of the car. I pulled my coat around my bump trying to hide it. I never told them. I can't believe I never told them.
Elliot took my hand in his and gave it a squeeze as we got to the door.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
I opened the door and stepping inside. My mother was still talking to my sister and my brothers were talking to my father. Each of their spouses sat around talking to one another as well. And there sat on the couch in between my brothers wives was a women. She was beautiful.
She had long dark hair and fair skin. I had seen this women before. I was shown pictures of her before I left. This is the women my parents want me to marry...isn't she.
"Dexlynn! How are you!"
My oldest brother, Locklin, came up to me bringing me into a hug. My eyes never left the women. I still had a death grip on Elliot's hand.
"Who's this?"
My gaze was finally pulled away from her and brought back to Locklin.
"Oh...this is...Elliot."
Locklin extended his hand and Elliot took it shaking it firmly with his free hand.
"Hello, I'm Locklin the oldest of all the kids."
He ended his sentence with a little laugh. Elliot smiled.
"I'm Elliot."
They both smiled and then looked back down at me.
"Have you gained some weight Dex?"
I snapped my head up at him.
"Sorry that was a bit rude."
He laughed a little again and walked away. I clung to Elliot. I'm scared. I shouldn't be scared of my family but that women is here and my mother hates when she can't have things her way.
We were finally noticed by the rest of the family and Locklins wife, Olivia, waved us in.
I took small steps trying to drag this out as long as I could.
"Dexlynn. Pick up your feet when you walk."
My mothers stern voice made me flinch a little. I got behind Elliot as we fully entered the living room.
"Who might this be?"
I shook. I was shaking because I was so scared. I was so scared of my own damn mother.
"I'm Elliot. It wonderful to finally meet you all."
Elliot spoke clear and once again brought his hand up to shake my fathers hand. My father took it raising his brow at Elliot.
"Dexlynn. This is Marion. Isn't she beautiful?"
I shook my head yes. She was. I couldn't lie. She was drop dead gorgeous and I would totally get with her if I wasn't A RAGING HOMOSEXUAL!
We made our way to the love seat that sat across from the couch. I sat down closely to Elliot and still clung to his arm.
My mother spoke to me but I couldn't listen. I wanted to leave. I needed to leave. I pulled on my jacket so it covered my bump. Fuck this I don't need my family to find out. I just need to go.
"I want to leave..."
I whispered to Elliot. He nodded his head. We stood up but not before my mother spoke.
"Where are you going? I'm trying to help you have a wonderful wife. Sit down and stop clinging to the guy. It's odd and not right to be so close to a man like that."
I broke. This is the man I love. The father of my child. The person I want to be with for my life and my mother just spat out a comment like that.
"Mother..."
"Sit down Dexlynn. And you, leave. You are not apart of this family and have no business here."
"Mother! Stop!"
Her mouth gaped open.
"Excuse me?"
I stood up fully now. I fought with my coat tearing it off.
She looked at me and her eyes widened.
"You...you are pregnant?"
"Yes! And this guy is Elliot! And I love him! This is his baby and I'm NOT getting rid of him or our baby. So you can or pissed all you want but I'm not following your stupid rules that you made up."
"I never should have let you leave. You go off and get pregnant by a random man."
"Is that the problem?! That Elliot is a man?! Are you serious! I'm a male omega! That is basically the whole point of us! That we can have children! You are a old fashioned BITCH who can't deal with the fact that I love someone who is not hand picked my you!"
I grabbed Elliot's hand and stormed out.
"OH AND BEFORE I GO, ITS A BOY! AS IF ANY OF YOU CARE!"
I slammed the door shut dragging Elliot along with me.
I heard the door open thinking it was my mother but in reality it was my brother Bo.
"A BOY!!!! THE FIRST BOY!"
It's true. Locklin's and Violeta's children are all girls. At least I know Bo cares.
I sat down with a huff in the passenger seat. Elliot sat wide eyed staring at me.
"What?!"
"That was hot."
I hit him on the chest and laughed. Elliot took my hand in his and kissed the back.
"I'm proud of you."
I smiled and gave him a kiss.
"I'm proud of me too."
This time Elliot laughed and began to drive. At least that problem was solved. Kind of.
