If Kisses Should Win

Part thirty-nine

"Come on~ just go on one date with me. I can show you how a real alpha acts."
I slowly turned my head to the complete idiot sitting next to me. I was just trying to write notes about the lecture but apparently this guy had different plans.
I gave him a dead stare and rolled my eyes at him. I looked back at my notes and tried to focus on what the professor was saying. I was taking a couple business classes hoping that one day I could open my own salon or shop of sorts.
His hand glided over my shoulder and tried (key word, tried) to move further down my back before I quickly and harshly pulled away from him bumping into Garret in the process.
"Do NOT touch me. I don't give a shit if you think I'm cute. You can THINK that whenever you want but I swear to god if you lay one of those disgusting fingers on me again I will have you arrested for harassment."
After the comment about getting him arrested he shut up and didn't look up for the rest of the class.
I had noticed a few girls sitting in front of me nod as I talked. Looks like he's done it before.

I walked out of class alone after Garret ditched me to find Dottie.

Elli: I'm here to pick you up.

I smiled down at my phone

Me: ok! Walking your way now.

Elliot had picked me up from school lately mostly because he had to pick Arlo up at daycare just a couple minutes prior.
I continued on my way following the sidewalk. He usually parks in a parking lot a block and a half away.
I answered some more texts mostly from Cate and some from Lakes. As I was putting my phone back into my pocket a disgusting smell overwhelmed me. I covered my nose with my sleeve and looked around to where it might be coming from.
I turned complete around and stopped walking. My head hurt. I felt so dizzy. My breathing became ragged and that's when I saw the source of the putrid smell.
That idiot alpha from back in class. He was walking towards me with his hands in him pockets and a sinister grin on his face. I backed away but lost my footing on the uneven pavement. I fell down harshly on my ads and winced from the pain shooting up my back.
"Stop!"
I tried to wave him off but obviously that wasn't going to do anything. At this point I became so weak to the smell of his pheromones that I looked around for someone to help me. And of course there was nobody to be seen.
The sidewalk wasn't on a busy road and there wasn't many buildings around and in the building that were around I doubt there would be any people. I tried to get my phone out of my pocket but he kicked it right out of my hand. I could hear it crack and break as it flipped across the pavement.
"Oh~ would you look at that!"
He let out an almost sinister laugh. He bent down to where I was sitting.
"Listen. I'm usually not forceful guy but...I always get what I want. And I want you. So I'll ask you again. Go out with me."
"In your dreams asshole! I'm fucking engaged! I would never want to go out with a jackass like you anyway!"
You could almost see the steam coming from his ears he was so mad. He grabbed the hood of my jacket and pulled me up to him.
"Let me go!"
"Shut up! If you would have gone out with me to begin with none of this would have happened!"
"Ma!"
We both looked over to see a very angry Elliot holding Arlo about 20 feet away us. He looked like he just come from the office. He was still in his suit and his hair wasn't a mess like it always was .
Without missing a beat he took long strides over to us and it felt like he reached us in only 2 steps. He towered over the idiot alpha who tried to get with me. He took ahold of his shirt and threw him away from me.
"Don't you EVER lay a finger on him."
I thought that I was going to end there but I was ohhh so wrong. I eventually had to take Arlo out of his grasp while he pummeled the guy.
"Elliot! Please stop!"
He didn't stop. Why the hell would he?! He's so goddamn stubborn sometimes!
"Da!"
Arlo called out to him and he immediately stopped. He wiped his hands on his suit jacket, that probably cost more than the rent of my old apartment, and came back over to us.
"Call the police."
I had been holding a Arlo closely to my chest covering his head. I went to reach for my phone but then remembers it laid in pieces on the sidewalk
"Can I use your phone?"
"Where's yours?"
He asked as he got his phone out of his pocket.
"He broke it."
That made him even more pissed.
Elliot ended up calling the police and we all had to go to the police station because anger issues over here almost killed the guy.
I didn't have any sort of injury but Elliot HAD to
Make sure that I had a full checkup.
Elliot had wanted to press charges against the dude but I talked him down to a restraining order. Might not seem like I got him down much but trust me I did. He told me and I quote "he's going to rot in jail for the rest of his life". So I think I did a pretty good job at making him calm down.
I really didn't want to draw any attention to this situation. I'm also getting married and I didn't want to have to go to court and all this other legal shit right before my wedding.
What did surprise me though was the way Elliot and Tyler acted. They never seemed to like each other but I guess it was never hate either. They both stood in the hospital conspiring on how to make the guy pay.
In all honesty all he did was scare me a little. He didn't hurt me or anything but those two acted like I had gotten violently beaten up.

3 weeks later

I was sitting at home making some final adjustments to the wedding invitations watching Arlo as he rolled about on the floor. I smiled and changed the words to gold. Is that more fancy? I messed with the colors for a while longer until there was a knock at the door.
Most people ring the doorbell so I almost immediately knew who it was. I opened the door and was met with a sad looking Cate and a nervous looking Tyler.
"Tyler...did you do something?"
He threw his hands up at my question.
"Why do you assume I always do something?!"
I gave him a "are you serious" look.
"Yeah your right."
I grabbed Cates hand and gave it a small squeeze leading her into the house.
I sat her down at the kitchen island and poured her a cup of coffee. I heard Tyler say that he was going to go find Arlo which meant this was something Cate wanted to talk to me privately about.
"Cate? What's wrong?"
I sat down beside her and laid my hand on her shoulder.
"I did something..."
I gave her with a questioning look.
"What did you do?"
She sighed and looked at me. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure Tyler wasn't near enough to hear.
She leaned in closely.
"I got a dog."
I gave her the same look I had given Tyler earlier.
"Are you serious?! I thought you were pregnant or something!"
"What?!"
"You made it so serious!"
"This is serious! I didn't tell Tyler and wouldn't let him into the house!"
She whisper yelled the last part at me.
"Cate...my sweet innocent Cate. He won't care about a dog. Sure he might be surprised at first but he definitely will not be mad about a dog."
I spoke to her in a loving tone. She was so nervous about getting married and I think she doesn't believe that they actually did.
I mean she's drop dead gorgeous and looked like an actual goddess at their wedding but I think she still unsure why Tyler married her.
"Babe...Tyler is in love with you. Did I ever tell you that after the first date with you he came to my house and he sat down looking starstruck and said "I'm gonna marry that girl". He's so in love with you and I promise on everything that he won't give a fuck about a dog. Okay?"
She watched me intently as I spoke.
"Okay!"
And just like that she's back to the bright and bubbly Cate.
I rubbed my forehead and smiled looking at her walk away.

My life has been so chaotic. In a span of 3 weeks I had to calm my fiancé down so he wouldn't kill a guy for touching me , my son turned 6 months old and my best friend acted like my other best friend who was also her fiancé was going to hate her for getting a dog. I then had to convince her that he loved her. I swear I love her but let's be honest...she's not the sharpest tool in the shed. I love her don't get me wrong!

HELLO!!! This chapter was very chaotic and had a lot going on. But sadly there will be only one more chapter after this one. So these last chapters are going to be longer and filled with some interesting stuff. ANWAYS BYE FOR NOW!!!!
