If Kisses Should Win

Part twenty-six

I could barely keep my eyes open. I was laying in my hospital bed waiting on Elliot and the doctor to bring our baby from the nic u.
We were told that since he was about a month early which apparently is common with male omegas, that he has to stay in the nic u over night to make sure he was stable.
Being the little champ he is he did perfect. Elliot took pictures of him and showed me because I was so nervous that he wasn't ok. I also was closely monitored because of being a male omega but we were both doing great.
"We're here~!"
Elliot came into the room rolling a small little cart with our baby in it. The doctor followed behind him and her smile made me feel more confident.
Elliot rolled the cart over to the side of my bed smiling down at our son.
"Can I hold him?"
"Of course! But let Elliot give him to you."
The doctor was filling out some sort of paper work while she answered my question.
I nodded and Elliot picked him up placing his in my arms. I cradled him making sure to support his neck.
A smile grew on my face without me knowing.
"Isn't he gorgeous?"
"He really is..."
Elliot bent down giving me a kiss on the head along with our son.
"Are you hungry at all? I can go grab you something."
I thought for a moment.
"Yeah, could you get me some of that ice cream from the corner store?"
"The one you brought home?"
"Yeah but that one's probably melted. It's the Nutella  and cooking dough flavored one."
"Alright I'll go grab it. Make you you ask the nurse or doctor for help if you need it. Okay?"
I nodded.
"Ok be careful. Love you."
"Love you too."
With that Elliot left and I sat for another couple minutes just staring at our baby. His beautiful dark skin and pale eyes made me smile.
"Hello Dex."
The nurse came back into the room with a handful of stuff.
"I need to check your incision sight. Need me to set him down?"
"Yes please, thank you."
The nurse lifted him out of my arms placing him in his little bed. She laid my bed back making me lay flat. She lifted up my gown and checked around the bottom of ny stomach.
My baby bump was already so small compared to only a few hours ago. The nurse finished and sat me back up.
"Now I know you want to hold him but you are still weak. You need to rest as well. So get some sleep I will take him back to the nursery."
I shook my head no.
"No! I want him to stay here. I won't hold him but I just want to see him."
The nurse looked me and a soft smile grew on her face.
"Alright sweetheart. But no holding him. If he cries call a nurse, okay?"
"Okay, thank you."
The nurse left me with my baby laying in his cart. Not long after Elliot strolled in carrying a bag.
"Here is you ice cream darling."
"Thank you so much Elli."
I ate little bites out of the container slowly.
"How's my little man doing?!"
Elliot picked him up and walked slowly around the room talking nonsense to him.
"Guess who's here!"
Cate and Tyler came around the corner both looking like a hot mess.
"Where's my nephew!?"
Tyler basically pushed Cate out of the way and went over to Elliot.
Cate walked over to me grabbing my hand.
"How are you doing?"
"Fine, thank you so much for setting up the nursery."
"No problem!"
"Tyler seems excited..."
"He was more excited than me! And that's saying a lot because we both know how I was during your whole pregnancy."
We both laughed and looked over at our guys. Tyler was holding the baby smiling at him.
"I'm gonna be the coolest uncle!"
That all got us to laugh. Our beautiful baby boy was surrounded by people who truly loved him. That have all loved him from the start. Elliot and I's gorgeous son, Arlo Tyler Buecanon.
